3,000 Mile Fuel Report, Lifted Part 3.

Foz, that is still pretty EPIC, even at 65mph with a trailer? Lifted with your current rim/tire combo? I mean did you have a 20 mph tailwind ;-) "Best mileage I have ever seen with my lifted Platinum Max with HD tow was 19 MPG towing a 14’ Uhaul enclosed trailer full of furniture across Wyoming"

3,000 Mile Fuel Report, Lifted Part 3.

The two trips were over the last two months. I had three trips, but my fuel mileage indicator was off, and did not take it as "seriously" as the past two strips (stock vs modded). 1) I wonder if I was empty and I never went above 75mph with ONLY fuel stops, what the MPG would be (but the...

    Rear End Failure

Sorry for your woes, and I wonder if an early fluid change could help the packs. However, when you say "pin" not retracting, I am getting confused on the locker system we have. From what I have read the F150's have a pin locker while the Expys have a clutch pack type locker that clamps down...

    2018 Transmission Clunking/slamming in gears

How often was the problem? I had 2 hard shifts over my trip, and maybe 2 more in the past. This is over 23,000 miles?

3,000K Fuel Report Part 'Tres' **FX4, HD Tow, 3.73s, lifted 2-inches F/R, chin spoiler deleted, Nitto Terra Grappler (295/70-18s 34.3s at 10.6 pounds+ over stock wheels and .25 inch spacers) for an exact total combined of a 3-inch lift. Regular drive mode, 2wd, 87 octane, tire pressure ranged...

Let's See Those Lifted / Big Tire Gen 4s!!

Surprised with how many looks I get in my truck since lifted. I routinely drive 'the strip' here and a lot of folks look at it, a little confused at first.

    Onboard Air Compressor

Just bought the VIAir and started this thread. If I use it this weekend, I will report in but after researching on/off, it looks outstanding for the $150 +/- class, and comes with a few extra items and a deflator. None of it used yet though--...

    WeatherTech Mud Flaps On

I saw that Lou and considered it but felt more comfortable going with the ultra thin ones. May have to punch another hole though to keep it from flapping at highway speeds as double sided tape is not working. At all lol.

    WeatherTech Mud Flaps On

I loved my WTs till I added my 34.3 inchers. Had to pull the front ones (for sale if you pm me we) b/c the rubbing would have been too much. So I custom cut/attached some universal fits on the front... YMMV, but the thickness of the rear WTs pushing INTO the rear wheel well helps to close the...

What air pressure are you running in your larger AT tires?

I was wondering the same, however I stayed with the same load rating on my bigger, taller tires (SL116) so I am keeping them around 35 PSI, same as factory but Foz has got the right idea regarding contact patch. I may be wrong, but I can't see why I would change the PSI. YMMV

    Expedition vs Navigator

As far as ride goes, I would imagine the MAX rides better due to it's longer wheelbase. Things like that can be significant in terms of things. But ultra low profile tires on big trucks have always been a no-no for me b/c of how harsh they ride. They look cool on the lowered street scene...

A Little Pushing. A Little Screwing. A little Pinning...

IT is actually pretty stable already as I have put a decent amount of tension on the sides by redoing the front fenderliners (moving them forward they had to be pulled and stretched) but yes, trimming that valence really short is a great idea to keep the rigidity. My next oil change I will just...

    2021 expedition

I believe the '21s are distinct even from the 20's so it may take some time. The F150 forums have more info but I think things are very vague for the 21s now. Some are saying it is similar to the F2/350s, etc. I'd wait for the smoke to clear, or maybe take a shot with the EASY CONFIG--cautiously.

A Little Pushing. A Little Screwing. A little Pinning...

A Little Pushing/Screwing/Pinning BEFORE: AFTER (and with a little cutting, sanding and then adding some sexy black items): The cut to the lower valence looks pretty factory, and I kept the sharp "scallop" to match the lines. The point almost looks like it will hit...

How to shut OFF Traction Control completely?

I know personally there are modern systems that still allow for full disabling of the nannies. Now, I have not ripped in my Ex, so have not seen the dangers of a complete loss of power from TC kicking in. Which seems much worse than spinning tires when one does not intend too. I may have...

What Have You Done to Your 4th Gen This Week?

Shaffer9, It looks like it frees up a lot more room for a larger tire to fit (beyond 34s), if one wants to manipulate the heat shield a bit? Was it a heavy box (just curious from a weight perspective)?

    Best 12V Tire Inflator?

I watched a lot of videos yesterday on the Smittybuilt (saw 3 copies of it too under other names, but same unit). It was heavier, had proprietary attachments, and had a few other downfalls IIRC. For me I needed by Friday as well due to travel. On AMAZON, the VI will be here Wednesday where...

    Best 12V Tire Inflator?

I checked out your recommendations, which led me to a lot of videos and research today. I ended up going with the VIAIR 300P as it seems to have some of the best AMAZON and YouTube reviews, and was actually cheaper than the competition with faster shipping. It also had the some better features...
