    Hyperdip my grill….with pics

Check this thread: https://www.expeditionforum.com/threads/ford-expedition-shop-service-manual.52273/ I printed out the relevant sections and watched a few youtube videos. Finding and getting those three bolts on either side from the black and white diagrams is a pain, but doable. The rest...

19 Platinum remote start not working

Low truck battery? Check your app. I got notified the other day that my truck was going into deep sleep mode and remote start wouldn't work anymore. Looks like it's time for a new battery for me, possibly for you as well.

Under hood heat shield or insulation

You may not be able to install the hands free liftgate, but thank goodness you can disable the stupid thing.

Would love some folks thoughts on this, regarding oil changes on this engine.

Are those filters on all the ecoboost engines? Seems like if it were a high failure item we'd have heard about it by now on some of the higher mileage engines.

    Oil Change Impossible?

If they did that to your drain plug, just wait till you try to remove your filter. I was literally hanging in the air hanging onto my filter wrench because the dealer put mine on so tight. Speaking of funnels, I bought one of these, required a little modification with a file to make it work...

    Oil Change Impossible?

At some point the plastic plugs were swapped back to standard plugs in production.

    Fumoto oil drain valve help!

I don't have a Fumoto, I chose the Valvomax instead. That sucks about it being through Amazon. Probably stuck with it at this point. Sucks.

    Fumoto oil drain valve help!

Well, still better than being screwed up on the truck side of things I guess. I'd contact them and see if they can do an exchange.

    Fumoto oil drain valve help!

You know, now would be a good time for a fumoto drain valve, then you could drain it right back into the original container. :D

Ford quietly redesigned the thermostat in 2022...replace it

You shouldn't end up with a lower temperature, it'll just open later. Once it's open it should function just like one that opens earlier, right?

What Have You Done to Your 4th Gen This Week?

Dang, why isn't this one stickied? Forgot to take pictures but took off the entire front end in order to replace one small part. I've had the leaking front washer issue and it's frustrating because I fill up washer fluid and then promptly lose half of it. There's a TSB for it, but trying to...

    Fumoto oil drain valve help!

Some services apparently require them to drain the oil. Pretty sure my cam phaser service included all new oil. I could see a dealership not wanting to reinstall a drain valve at that point because if it fails, well, they (re)installed it and they could be held liable. I'd just take my stock...

    Hyperdip my grill….with pics

Because removing the grill is way more pain in the rear than it should be. I need to remove mine to replace the front camera sprayer and have the instructions all printed out, just need to find the time.

    Fumoto oil drain valve help!

Not sure if you were referring to me, had to go back and edit my post, typo, I have a 2019, not an 18.

    Fumoto oil drain valve help!

Mine installed fine, so unless they changed something in later years, it should work. I've yet to use it though, eagerly awaiting that next oil change like a kid on Christmas. :D

    Fumoto oil drain valve help!

What year do you have? That's strange because my Valvomax is M12-1.75 (Just checked my order history) and I have the tow package on my 2019 and had no issues.

    PPE aftermarket transmission oil pan

I'm still looking to do this. I did contact them via email and they didn't see any reason why the deeper pan shouldn't work on the Expedition, even though it doesn't show a valid application on their website.

    Panoramic Tint

just out of curiosity, how much did it cost for ceramic tint including sunroof/windshield for this huge beast?

Let's See Those Lifted / Big Tire Gen 4s!!

If you are talking about the raised lettering, they come that way from the factory on the Stealth package. However, somehow stealth still meant a chrome beltline. Stupid.

Hyperdip Chrome Delete - 21 Max Limited

Chrome is more expensive, a blackout package should be a discount. :D

That always looks so much better. Wish they hadn't encased chrome inside the headlights.

Trailer assist sticker on a trailer with a tubular tongue and frame

Looking at my notes, the D measurement was 77" and I think the minimum was 85" so just barely. I tried using 85 but then it threw off the location where the sticker was supposed to be and couldn't find it so I gave up. I can back this thing up, but give me a little jetski trailer and I'll just...

Trailer assist sticker on a trailer with a tubular tongue and frame

I almost was able to help you with this as I was playing with it this past weekend. Turns out my tubular framed Kendon motorcycle trailer is too short for the system to work with it. That's just silly because it's the little trailers we need the most help with because they are harder than long...

Let's See Those Lifted / Big Tire Gen 4s!!

You will definitely lose some mpg to rolling resistance. When I did my swap. the tires were slightly taller, slightly narrower and the whole package was much lighter (22" wheels to 18" wheels) as I weighed them both. On paper that should have resulted in higher mpg but I still lost mpg...
