Ive searched everywhere - Need help with Sheriffs vehicle cup holder.

Cool, I didn't even know you could get a bench seat in an XLT. I definitely prefer bench seats.

Ive searched everywhere - Need help with Sheriffs vehicle cup holder.

I believe it would only have been available on XLS models that were almost exclusively available for fleet sales, gov't and first responders. Unless you're opposed to it, it might be easier to find and install a console. I suspect the floor pan is the same between the models and thus you'd...

    2006 Expy radiator support

This is odd to me, but it appears the 2005 and 2006 models use the same radiator support and it's different than the 2003 and 2004. I bet it's not much different, but I can't tell you definitively.

    2005 XLT misfiring intermittently

Book time shows just 0.3hrs to replace it, but I would think you'd have to drop the tank which takes some time to do. $350 sounds about right and I'd bet closer to $500 now days. If by chance it's leaking it may be letting dirt into the tank.

    2005 XLT misfiring intermittently

The Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor can cause performance issues and if the codes indicate it's faulty it should be inspected and/or replaced. It could be the sensor, I had one fail in a Monte Carlo, but it could also be a wiring/connector issue or simply the o-ring seal.

    Low Beam Headlight Bulb Recommendation

If you live in a rural area maybe just consider some off road lights and wire them independently with the switch mounted in a convenient location. I had KC Daylighters on my 94 Ranger for when I was driving in rural areas or off-road. They turned night into day literally. You can get some...

    Missing radio connection?

The 8 pin connector is for the optional subwoofer. The model/trim level is or was noted on the lower left corner of the tailgate. I believe the 3 options were XLS, XLT and Eddie Bauer. XLS was mostly sold to fleets and emergency response.

2003 Expedition specific -Steering, column, & gear shifting components

Here's the part from RockAuto: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=2425878&cc=1427756&pt=16500&jsn=643&optionchoice=0-0-1-1 I can't find instructions on how to replace it, but there's a snap ring at the other end. The end that's not broken. Remove the snap ring and I'd think it would...

    Headlight Lens Removal: need help

I got Depo brand CAPA certified replacements from RockAuto. They are $61 each now. They've been fine. Not as good as OEM, but adequate.

Looks greats, needs odds and ends.

Welcome. It's just a vent. Tie it up to the fuel filler neck near the top and your good.

    Headlight Lens Removal: need help

It seems like you're describing removing the headlight assembly, not so much the lens. As you know start with loosening the vertical 10mm bolt a bit, then remove the 2 10mm horizontal bolts. On the inner side of the headlight assembly there are 2 tabs that like to get caught on the upper...

05 Expedition replace puddle light housing

I'd be surprised if anyone has written detailed instruction for this. However, the wiring diagrams available in the service manual should allow you to determine the wiring needed. I would think the wiring is likely actually in place, but it might require a fuse or more likely a relay to enable...

    2005 XLT misfiring intermittently

SafariGoneWrong provided a good answer for the codes and coils. Yep, they are super easy to swap. Once you replace one you'll be able to do another in just a few minutes. The rear 2 on the driver side a tiny bit tough reach, the 2 in the rear on the passenger side are a bit more challenging...

BATTER POSITIVE (+) TERMINAL ISSUE (LOSE CONNECTION)

It's not the same, but I think that will work and if you can get it local it's worth a try.

    2005 XLT misfiring intermittently

Yeah sounds like spark plugs and/or COPs(Coil on Plug) to me. The coils are very easy to replace. The spark plugs, well 6 of them, are not hard to replace. The other 2 spark plugs are tough to get to, but a special $25 ratchet makes it rather easy I found. I see your engine has the newer...

Liftgate Glass won’t open 2005 Expedition Limited

Both parts in the OP's pics appear to be used to me. This one from Dorman looks just like the ones on our Expeditions, though it says it doesn't fit. For $15 it might be worth a shot...

Transmission coolant lines in 2006 Expy

Ford has no interest in helping you maintain a 20yr old vehicle. They would much prefer to sell you all new parts. Dorman seems to be adding production for some new parts for older vehicles lately. I'm not a huge fan of Dorman, but their metal parts sometimes really are terrific.

    Rusted A pillar

So I figured the driver side rocker panel was getting bad because just like the passenger side I had developed a squeak that I could not track down. It seemed like it was squeaking around the B pillar. Replacing the rocker panel resolved it again. The passenger side rocker panel had...

    2ND Gen Heated Seats?????

The switches and level adjustment for the heated/cooled seats in my 2004 are in the top of the center console so you'd need that as well. A slightly different point of view. I agree the results of going with the factory components would be nice in most ways and may very well be the most...

    Rusted A pillar

Well it took an awful lot more time to complete, but it's done. Can't say I learned anything new replacing the rocker panel, fixing the A, B and C pillars along with the fender. Body work is hard work, harder than mechanical work in my opinion. Auto body techs do not get paid enough. Rust is...

Fuel tank leak on '04 Eddie Bauer

Plastic welding to repair it is the way to go. HDPE plastic is very difficult to repair with adhesive as most just don't stick well.

    high mileage for current job

I have immediately changed every vehicle I've bought in the last 34yrs to Amsoil front to back upon getting it home. Except coolant and brake fluid I still use Prestone, never found a reason to change those. Vehicles at purchase had between 3 miles and 382k miles. Maybe I'm just fortunate not...

    high mileage for current job

True it could, if you run extended drain intervals it's not nearly as bad. I change the oil once a year or 25k miles which ever comes first. Been doing this since new, 307k on my Expedition and 209k on our Monte Carlo. It's a choice though and I'm glad we still have options to choose from.
