Good things ARE coming our way from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, or so they say

Nope. 33x11 likely would fit not so sure a 33x12.5 would. It is kind of close back there but I never measure at factory ride height. The 18-19s with 1.5” or lift likely not an issue but only 1” or lift on the 15-17s likely close.

I presume they swapped in with no issues or modification?

Small issue installing RCI transmission skid plate with OEM Engine Skid Plate

I talked to the folks at RCI today. Just recently they started only etching the long slot. It used to be fully cut out. Now you have to knock it out if you want to use the OEM engine skid.

    Mirror turn signal light

How big is the opening of the new mirror where the wire comes out at the mounting base?? Would one be able to use a pickle picker to pull wires from inside or is the opening sealed pretty good? I’d like to add amber clearance lights to the edge but not sure I want to pop the housing apart to...

How to add remote start using forscan

A barebones $150 windows laptop or tablet will run ForScan easily and well worth the cost to be able to actually utilize ForScan. Heck may even find something at a pawn shop for under $100.

Good things ARE coming our way from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, or so they say

I presume those are F150 spec’d ICONs?? I was half tempted to run ICON or FOX fronts and Bilstein 4600 rears. Was not sure how that different of a dynamic from the front to rear would be. I presume you are having no issues??

2015 Expedition and 3.5 Ecoboost Lifespan?

According to Ford when the vehicle tells you or every 12 months. I use Motorcraft a synthetic blend and swap out every 5k. Personal opinion it is a waste of money to run full synthetic in these under normal driving conditions and doing any less than 10k for oil swaps. At 5k synthetic blend is no...

15-17 Owners just get the SSV transfer case skid plate. It costs $35 including hardware!

I think you will need the one listed in this post but I am not sure. https://www.expeditionforum.com/posts/334182/ The one I have listed in this thread is for the Ecoboost models as we have an extra cross bar.

2015 Expedition and 3.5 Ecoboost Lifespan?

It looks different as you have the fancy limited model. Us with the XLTs have the dash shown above. Not as many fancy features and options. XLTs with the big Sync screen may share a dash with you but I am not sure.

Anyone install a Readylift leveling kit?

You DO NOT want to run 5100s with spacers on top. You can retain the OEM shocks with the Readylift if you want.

Looks like Bilstein is now making 5100s for the 15-19s!!

I can’t speak specifically for the ones listed as I don’t have them but I can only imagine they are. My 5100s and 4600s are much more firm (a good thing in my book) the braking is also substantially improved as there is pretty much zero nose dive when you hit the brakes giving a much quicker and...

Looks like Bilstein is now making 5100s for the 15-19s!!

5100s and 4600s when for the same model are valved the same. The 5100s body is slightly longer and has the adjustable snap ring to accommodate the lift. Being that for EB Expeditions one was using the fronts from an F150 and the Rears from the older Expedition the valving for the 5100s and 4600s...

Looks like Bilstein is now making 5100s for the 15-19s!!

18-19s Front Part# 24-285056 Provides 0-1.6” of lift Rear Part# 24-285063 Provides 0-1.5” of lift Part numbers are the same for 15-17s But only provide 0-1” of lift for the front. I am guessing one will still have to run a spacer if you want to run 33”+ tires. Not sure how well that would...

Good things ARE coming our way from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, or so they say

Sure does. Still need a spacer for a 33” tire I’d say but running a spacer on a 5100 is likely a bad idea.

Good things ARE coming our way from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, or so they say

Pipe dream going over 3” with any sort of suspension lift on these things unless you are just drowning in cash. For a full out custom fabrication of pretty much everything for the rear. 3/2 and a body lift sure. I’d be tempted to say you possibly could sell the Expedition, buy a used raptor...

Good things ARE coming our way from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, or so they say

Depends on if you are an independent suspension or not. Ride quality is degraded in both the matter of how much is dependent upon the setup. Independent suspension helps to soften it out. I’ll say that I now have rear spacers as they are the only option at the moment. Paired with Bilstein 4600...

    Wireless charging pad

eBay or Amazon one of the two. It has a vent clip on the back. I drilled a hole in a 2”x2” block, just smaller than the vent clip diameter, filled it with gorilla glue, stuck the clip in hole and let it dry. The 2x2 is just wedged in the cubby and stays put nicely. Bought a 2 port USB adapter...

Took the 2016 Off Roading a few quick videos

The road ride is worlds better than stock and I thought that would be hard to do. These things ride really well in factory for. Blows the in laws 2017 Suburban with auto leveling and all that fancy stuff out of the water. Big dips are not bad at all seem to be lessened actually. The part that is...

Took the 2016 Off Roading a few quick videos

Finally got a chance to test out the new suspension setup and tires off road. Well technically not “off road” since we never left a National Forest Road or Local County Road. Yup, even the third video where we go up the creek that is technically a county road. Only got video of the pretty easy...

    Bilstein 5100, 4600 & New Coils

I went no spacer up front and wish there was a way to do the rear without a spacer. While spacers work and better than nothing they are not the ideal design. Here is a quick little video explaining why. We’re lucky with independent suspension that spacers still ride fairly well. Solid axles...
