Transmission issue with absolutely ridiculous answer from dealership

Damn; I have a 2013 with 120 K and I had to get on it hard to merge/avoid traffic the other day and it delivered. If your truck is gutless it is not the driver. Flooring it should have same reaction regardless of what shift points it learned.

    Crazy idea, want your thoughts

Why don't you arrange for a butcher shop closer to your buddy to collect and freeze the meat and put on dry ice? Bear in mind dry ice sublimates into CO2 so you will need your windows open on the vehicle or you will die.

Garage Clearance after 3/2 Ready Lift and 275 65 r20’s

Also tire pressures and shock absorber height can increase with temperature. If you don't have sufficient clearance even a little thing like an empty fuel tank or removing seats or spare tire can raise the vehicle.

Possible to remove third row bench without folding it?

My Gen 3 second row middle seat would not fold down and it was a small cable that pulls a little catch down by the track. I would look for a wire cable, like a bicycle brake cable that needs to be tugged to loosen the catch.

    Front End Issue?

I will give it a try. I also suspect that the caliper may be hanging up in that corner and perhaps causing a clunk when releasing. I have had a few quirky problems that have all come and gone. Weird..

    Front End Issue?

Yeah it is the 2013 doing this. Not very repeatable ( I tried yesterday several times) so I am going to have to get it to the shop to have them look. I put all new on the 2001 at around 95K moog with zerks.

    Front End Issue?

Just these past weeks, whenever backing out of my long driveway onto the street I get a "bump" feeling while straightening out. When I back out, the rear of my car is normally steered to the right about 20 degrees or so , 5 O'clock position. I then go forward and steer to the left , about 90...

Water leaking into rear area behind 3rd row seats

My Gen 1 Expy has a plastic vent that is concealed inside the upper door jam of the rear hatch. It is designed to equalize air in the vehicle. If it comes loose, water gets into the channels above the rear section, and in my case dripped down from the upper trim to the side panel rear drivers side.

2023 Expedition Stealth snap popping sound 2nd row passenger floor

Wow, I cannot believe that Ford would do a buyback on this. Don't they have specialists that can take the car apart and correct the problem? It might take a week with a rental vehicle but it seems silly. I remember years ago seeing a new Gen 1 Expy on the rack, with the entire body pulled off.

    5.4 3V - Broken Rocker Arm

Remove the rockers from that cylinder and do a leak down test (external air pressure and guage) to determine if the valve is unbent and seated. Then do the rope trick and CAREFULLY try to see if the valve is free to move up and down and around in the valve guide. Inspect the groove for the valve...

What causes rocker panels on 3rd Gen to rust out? Any preventative maintenance to avoid this?

Please post a picture. I know my 1st generation has a bunch of silicon like goop squirted in at the trailing edge of the rocker panel near rear wheels. It is still very pliable after 24 years. I would assume there is a drain somewhere forward of the seal as they do need drainage.

Drilling the roof for solar panel & Starlink cables

You might take it to an Upfitter shop. These are the places that outfit police vehicles. They can drill holes in the roof properly (Antennas etc.) and likely have weatherproof grommets used for light bars. Be careful routing wires through the seals of the rear hatch. While that may be an easy...

09 Eddie Bauer expedition started by itself

Sometimes there are after market remote starter kits. Maybe yours had one installed by previous owner/dealer and it is being tripped randomly by someone with a similar code in your neighborhood. If you just bought this car take it back to the dealer and have it removed as it is a safety hazard...

electrical issues or just my luck?

If the hoses have never been changed, you should do so right away and purge the system. My 2001 brake lines failed at about 88K miles causing a locked caliper in right rear. I had them all changed. The rubber gets very hard and brittle. If you have fluid there, that is your problem, or at least...

electrical issues or just my luck?

My 2001 windshield cracked last year and in removing the glass (original) the installer showed me that the paint had de-laminated from the metal on the drivers side A pillar. It was very likely water was getting in. Not a lot in my case, but there is rust on the bare metal under dash. It is...

2000 Eddie Bauer Expy is possessed (electrical issues)

Another problem that can drain the battery is the rear wiper motor failing to park. When this happens the GEM module never goes to sleep and power continues to flow. Remove the fuse (under the hood) for the rear wiper circuit and don't put it back until you sort out the other gremlins.

electrical issues or just my luck?

As far as clicking under the dash . The body control module/GEM module and fuse box can get wet if the windshield is leaking by the A pillar on drivers side. A common problem.

electrical issues or just my luck?

This in response also to your other post about brake fluid running out. There are brake senders on the side of the master cylinder that signal the cruise control and other circuits when the brakes are depressed. They can leak and will cause a fire. There was a recall at some point, for certain...

Annoying Message Center and warning lights: SERVICE ADVANCE TRACK and CHECK BRAKES

That is just crazy. If it rubs it is not racing. I will have to slide under and look for that one. I was more concerned with rodents eating wires, though I have three cats on 24/7/365 rodent control in the driveway. Maybe they slouch off.
