4th gen Limited Max Stealth performance with 304A package vs Max Platinum

We have a platinum. The ride is okay, but not great. The main culprit is undoubtedly the 22” wheels. If ride is a priority look for 20” wheels. But ride is very subjective so its best to test drive one and be sure to find roads that are not super smooth.

Ford updated software three times recently

What type of screen do you have? The broad answer is that you should have something in your menu about software updates and there is a place that shows what version you have. But we know nothing about what year vehicle you have and what screen.

Every 2024 Non Max Expedition has the same Payload Sticker

The concern is that if you are in an accident and the police report shows you were pulling a trailer your insurance, and/or the other parties insurance, will likely want to know if you were over the rated payload or trailer weight that the vehicle is rated for.

    2025 Expedition King Ranch

I did a build on a King Ranch after reading this thread. The Gold is a total deal killer for me

Long RV Trip Report - Also Engine Heating

No, not correct. Too high of a gear is hard on the drivetrain under load. I always use “tow” mode. We pull a 7,400 trailer with our 2023. We have been in a lot of hills and never seen the transmission get overly hot.

I wanted to like it, but...

Who knew there was a gen five forum? Not me until now. I thin the front, back and interior all look bad. Time usually changes my thinking, but for now the 2023 we have is much more cohesive and classy looking. The new one looks like they tried to hard. And no, I don’t think it warrants a...

Every 2024 Non Max Expedition has the same Payload Sticker

Yesterday i looked at the tow specs for the Jeep Wagoneer. The spec sheet shows a payload value with no variance footnotes. Im thinking the manufacturers are doing what i commented on above. Take the lower common denominator and make that the single figure expect for 2wd/4wd and tow package...

Every 2024 Non Max Expedition has the same Payload Sticker

No I am not saying that. Maybe you need to go back and read the entire thread. We are all wondering why Ford made a change from 2023 and before when the payload was different for vehicles equipped differently to 2024 showing the same payload number on vehicles that were NOT equipped the same.

Every 2024 Non Max Expedition has the same Payload Sticker

As far as cost, it would be simple if they weigh them as the come off the line to have a computer spit out stickers for that specific VIN and weight. My other thought is that by doing what some mentioned about taking the lowest common denominator it allows them to show a payload number in the...

Every 2024 Non Max Expedition has the same Payload Sticker

That is the whole point. Thats why he doesn't understand them being the same. Note that he said all the 2023s are different.

Every 2024 Non Max Expedition has the same Payload Sticker

Payload is based on exact weights each vehicle. Every option that is on one but not the other will change the payload capacity. They would have to be identically equipped for them to be the same.

    Battery Issues?

I bought it four weeks after the build date. Thirteen miles of which i put on about eight of those miles in a test drive.

    2024 Expedition - s-l-o-w steering

I agree as well. My garage is one that you go up the driveway then a 90 degree turn into the garage. I really am aware of the amount of turns backing out then essentially having to turn the wheel full lock - meaning when i back out i turn to the left full lock then all the way to full lock the...

    Battery Issues?

Im not really sure why you responded to my post like this. Our Expedition gets driven every day and has done several long trips. And Ive lived in the same climate for 45 years.

    Battery Issues?

My 2023 Expedition battery had to be replaced under warranty at eighteen months. It never quit on me, but I started getting warnings on my app. The dealer confirmed it was going bad. I have never had a battery go bad anywhere near that soon.

19.3 MPG on 2023 Max Limited, Will Additives Help?

With a vehicle this big conditions are king. Going into the wind, up hill, and/or a lot and stop and go are the enemy. Cruising at 70-75 on interstates with no adverse conditions we see right at the rated 22. I did a 200+ mile trip where we spent about 60 miles running 65-70 and the rest 55-60...

A fully loaded Ram Pickup, which the Wagoneer is based on, ran a 4.2 0-60. https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a62748761/2025-ram-1500-limited-crew-cab-4x4-test/

It says dual exhaust, which is actually twin tips. Only the HO gets that.
