I have read this posting 3x's and thought about your delema. The warranty offers are something to contemplate. 48k or so miles that the peace of mind will cover for MAYBE future repairs seems fair. You have already have used up
3/4's of that mileage to get to 135k. My thought is put that...
I would think sitting in the hot sun to have the same effect if not being driven to move the heat. I suppose we will have to wait and see. The hoods are aluminum just keep it clean and a good wax. Just my opinion for what it's worth.
I had my phasers replaced on my 2019 in 11/ 21 with 35k on it. They replaced it with the old style phasers. I have 40k on it now. Don't drive it alot although I have had oil changes at 5k mile intervals. I flood start upon first startup in the AM. I do have Ford Protect warranty. So I was pissed...
The evaporator is inside the plenum and you wouldn't be able to view it unless you took apart it apart. A leak test would only show if it is leaking. Something is apparently leaking to create a freon loss. A freon gas leak detector would be a way to check. In my opinion.
Really.........many of these service techs are only good at writing RO's and lack the knowledge of mechanical skills. I ask mine pertent questions and left him dumb founded. His background before Writing RO's was office equipment repair a year prior to being a Service Writer. My thought on the...
Peace of Mind Insurance. An added expense, but well worth it such as in your case. It is a certainty to have this policy unless you lease and turn them over at the end of the terms of the lease. Congratulations on a wise choice of the extended Warranty.
I checked my 2019 XLT to see if mine was missing the 90° nipple coming off the the drain for the A/C against the firewall. Mine was not installed during the build date of 11/19. Surely creating in my opinion that condensating water in being forced not to drain properly and settling in the...
Original battery in my 2019. Just replaced it this month 4/2023. Limped it along with an agm charger. Was losing accessories and decided it was time. 4 1/2 years and 40k decided it was time to replace with OEM battery. Put it on my agm charger to top it off.
That ccd deactivating device is pretty costly. I understand the reasoning but, using forescan could disable it perhaps. Not sure though. One can change many functions using that. Why wouldn't ccd be any different. Seeing that you may be putting New front shocks on it. Just my thoughts on this...
Perhaps look into replacing just the front swaybar plus front shocks. I am sure you'll notice the difference. OEM shocks aren't that good. Not sure if you had replaced front shocks replaced yet. There is a lot of weight in that nose of the vehicle. Just my opinion. Also, the front swaybar is...
That's the one. They have to order the parts and generally take a week to get. Special order. Just a heads up. Nice shop to deal with and accommodating.
To me it was worth the money spent. I didn't like the booble head effect of the ride on different types of surfaces and unstable lean while cornering. This installation of upgraded parts fit the bill for ride quality. It is a truck platform I get it......but I wanted stability and comfort and...
I had everything done at a Specialty repair shop. The work on all types of off road vehicles along with suspension modes. He in Southern Cali the shop is always busy. All parts replaced and an Alignment was just about $2800. To me it was worth it. Retired and wasn't looking for projects to...
Maybe 270 for me. Although 6'4 I have found that the support of my lower back and butt area miss any type of comfort for where the cushions meet. I purchased a memory foam pad on Amazon to give me more comfort in that area. It is just large enough to meet that area of my lower back and butt...
Just recently replaced front and rear swaybars with Hellwig products. Also had Bilstein shocks installed at the same time. This took care of all of the body sway and an improvement in the comfort of the ride. Mine had just turned 40k and it is a 2019 xlt.
I have a 2019 Expedition XLT and have noticed if I don't drive it the battery does lose charge. I have a product called, "Theftpatrol" it monitors vehicles location and it also gives status of battery state of charge. I check this frequently which is very helpful to know I have to get out and...
Why? I just had mine done with 39k. 2019 xlt. Bilstein and Hellwig sway bars front and rear. Considerable improvement by far. I realize the front end and supports a lot of weight but, not sure if it would make that bit of a difference. My front shock failed and leaked out and knew I wouldn't use...
