    Who’s getting a ‘25?

Our family is mostly set on getting a 2025 King Ranch, since our 2024 Expedition is being bought back due to being a lemon.

Anyone know where the 12v outlets are in the 2025 model?

At the dealership today, I rolled the carpets back to check. There are only 2 and the vehicle fuse box diagram only shows 2. Kind of a sucky thing to do, however the pros of this new vehicle outweighs this particular con.

Anyone know where the 12v outlets are in the 2025 model?

That is the AC outlet. But anyways, despite what the specs on the website say that there are 4 12v outlets, it seems only 2 is listed on the fuse box diagram in the manual... Not a deal breaker, but would have preferred at least one in the 2nd row.

Anyone know where the 12v outlets are in the 2025 model?

So our 2024 Expedition has been approved for lemon buy back. Today we went to the local dealership to check out the King Ranch Expedition to see what it looks like. According to the manual on the Ford website, there should be four 12v outlets in the vehicle (our 2024 Expedition has 4). However...

Anyone know what the lemon law buyback process is like?

We're in a pretty dense area in California (SF Bay), there are frequent parking spaces where not folding it in is not an option unfortunately. @LanceExp2025 I am based in California. I'm in the SF Bay Area East Bay. My dad says he'll attempt to renegotiate with Ford on a better offer. Probably...

Anyone know what the lemon law buyback process is like?

Since my dad is the one handling it, I'm only kind of getting the jist of all this (plus long COVID brain fog doesn't help). It seems there are 2 options actually. $10K if we want to keep this vehicle, but we have to sign some sort of liability waiver. We're not taking this since I'm pretty...

Anyone know what the lemon law buyback process is like?

Update: Ford approved the buyback and gave us 3 options. We have 1 month to choose which one.

Anyone know what the lemon law buyback process is like?

We live in the SF Bay Area, a densely populated area, so these mirrors are pretty much required. Sometimes we noticed it during a zipper merge where the left lane is merging to the right. For us it doesn't open around 1 out of 8 engine starts, and they can't reproduce it at the dealership. We've...

Anyone know what the lemon law buyback process is like?

So far they told my dad to gather the paperwork and fill out a form to initiate the buyback process.

Anyone know what the lemon law buyback process is like?

It's been 4 repairs at 2 separate Ford dealerships. It's not fixed. They've reflashed the controller inside, swapped the innards of the mirror, swapped our battery, and I can't remember what the last fix they tried was since my dad is handling all this. I get it's a hard problem to fix when it...

Anyone know what the lemon law buyback process is like?

Ford dealerships (we went to 2) already attempted to fix it 4 times. They can't. It continues happening. The annoying thing is this only happens around 1 out of 8 times we start the engine. They've reflashed the firmware of the controller inside, replaced the innards, replaced our battery on one...

Anyone know what the lemon law buyback process is like?

It's dangerous. A couple times we were zipper merging when we found out the mirror isn't open. Not only can we not see if there is a vehicle behind us, but it also stops the blind spot monitor from being able to alert you. Could kill sometime. This being an intermittent problem makes it worse...

Fill the gap between the 2nd row seating?

Our Expedition has bench seats so I don't know if this will actually work, but maybe a couple totes from Costco and fill it up with stuff. No clue if it will shift during driving though. https://www.costco.com/iris-44-quart-weatherpro-seal-storage-bin-4-pack.product.4000226160.html

Anyone know what the lemon law buyback process is like?

We bought the vehicle (2024 Ford Expedition Platinum Max) in April 2024. Very frequently the right mirror would not unfold and my parents and I won't notice it until we actually need to use it. It's very dangerous. The vehicle has been "repaired" 4 times now and it continues happening. My father...

    Who’s getting a ‘25?

Our family is currently negotiating with Ford to get us into the newer model. Currently in lemon law buyback discussions because the right mirror would frequently not unfold and they already failed to fix it several times now.

Battery Draining on a '22 Timberline

We have a 2024 Platinum and it usually takes about one and a half weeks of no driving before it tells us that the remote functions are disabled on the vehicle.

We got our new 2024 Ford Expedition Platinum!

Yes, biggest car. Other car we have is a 2005 Lexus LS430, and the one we just sold to replace was a 2006 Honda Pilot (which was having transmission and engine problems after all these years). The Lexus is still pretty good, we recently had to swap the alternator after it left us stranded. I...

"Watch The Road" warnings keep going off.

I suspect the transitions is part of the problem too. The pair I wear doesn't change colours but his does. Moving his seat up a little seems to have fixed most of the issue. Unfortunately that is "Keep hands on wheel". It doesn't work when it can't detect your eyes. Either way, it seems most of...

"Watch The Road" warnings keep going off.

We might have figured out what is wrong. My dad was sitting way too low in the seat. I was like you're not that much taller than me but I have to raise a seat about 2 to 3 inches compared to you. So he tried it and the system goes off a lot less.

"Watch The Road" warnings keep going off.

It happens a lot less during the day on my dad, and usually doesn't reach the brake checking stage (it might prompt to look). Night time/dusk is the issue.

"Watch The Road" warnings keep going off.

Who would have known... No warning from ScreenProtech or Ford that the screen is used as a light source. There is just a small diagram buried in the owners manual. To be fair the system didn't go off on me at all but I do sit closer.

It goes off with his hands lower on the wheel as well. We tried.

"Watch The Road" warnings keep going off.

I drove it tonight to check. It did not go off even 1 time... The park assist so far sucks. It can never find the spot. I wear glasses too. To be honest. I narrowed it down to 3 possible reasons: 1. He's too fat and sitting too far away from the cameras. He is pretty fat for a Chinese person...

"Watch The Road" warnings keep going off.

We had our 2024 Ford Expedition Platinum for around 1 month now. I've only driven it twice (my dad does most of the driving). When BlueCruise or Lane Keeping is on, it would frequently alert my dad to "Watch The Road" and most of the time it goes into "Resume Control" followed by brake checking...
