I owned a Hummer H3 before the Expedition. The front skid plate had 4 bolts to remove, for the oil/filter change. I owned a 2009 Lincoln MKZ, that had a small, oil filter access panel. My 2011 Mustang has a plastic panel with two, 8mm screws, for oil filter access. Invest in a cheap cordless...
The new transmissions are airtight, by design. I am not sure why. The F150's supposedly can hold an extra quart and 1/2. Fordrtechmakuloco, noticed this on his video. The truck he serviced was low(130kmi, no leaks).
Check your Ford dealer. Most have a outside guy, that does seat repairs. There is a guy in my area(in his 70s), that used to do it for many dealerships. He replaced(stitched in) the upper outer panel and the whole bottom cushion for $200(you remove the seat). He used a matching vinyl piece for...
Ford vehicles can retain up to 8 keys in active memory. You can do it yourself, for the price of key, but must have 2 active keys. A locksmith, dealer or forscan can manually add a new key, with only 1 original. It seems this device is for people, that lost the spare and have only 1. I had a...
Vehicles are secured on train cars, with tire wrap, hold down straps. Its a quick sling, that's it. The suspension is not compressed. I don't know about car carrier trucks. I would bet the autos being transported, have a similar set up. Did you 'test drive' this model, before buying it? 22"...
Torque is what really counts. HP is usually the highest with engine revving past 3000rpm. Most drivers never see that range, for more than a short burst. Most of 'normal' driving is between 1400 and 2200 rpm. The reason the EcoBoost is liked, is because people like the power on the low end...
They don't mention the 'mods' and fuel until near the end. They don't actually show the mods. They skip over that part...Your the fool to give these clowns $699(to tune), based on this video.
That youboob video is fake. It's been in the Expedition Forum before. $2500 in 'mods' and using E50. The guy even shows the capless fill that says E15.
Sir, you are the one making sketchy, dumbass advise and claims. "Benefits you can feel", "motor is even stronger", "Modern technology?" "fun with Ethanol" come on man. Mixing fuel, will only lower your MPG. Ethanol absorbs moisture and deteriorates metals. It has 1/3 less energy content.
The owners manual says don't use more than 10%. The engineers at Ford are wrong to? Not all 'Modern engines' can run more than 10%. Obama wanted to up the blend, to 15% and there was and still is opposition. Manufactures say 15% 'may' be OK. Running 50% or more, with no modifications is cuckoo...
If ethanol is so great for performance, why isn't the Mustang set up to use more than 10%? The GT is an ACTUAL performance engine/vehicle. The Expedition is not. It is designed to tow and haul people. Apples and Oranges. I don't any benefits running anything higher than 91, in an engine that is...

The OEM box draws cold air from the inner fender(technically cold air intake). There are plenty of K&N 0945 on Ebay, some used and cheap. They last for 1 million miles.
The Ford Mustang GT 5.0 manual recommends 91 or higher for maximum performance. It will run with reduced performance on 87. Ford cleverly re-worded the Expedition manual. Basically, use 91 or higher for towing. In other words, it makes less power than advertised power on 87 octane.
That looks similar to the OEM filter housing setup on my 2000, except for the plexiglass. I installed a drop in, Fram 8039 'airhog' in mine. It is almost the same as a K&N 0945. I think it was $22.
I noticed the same engine/vehicle in Canada spec, recommends full synthetic. In US its Syn-blend. If you keep a vehicle past 100K, tow or drive under extreme conditions spend a few more bucks. If you trade it every 3 or 4 and just drive it normal use the the syn-blend.
Try switching the ignition off and on 3 times, stopping the 3rd time on ACC/on. Then slowly depress the gas pedal to the floor and release quickly. I am pretty sure this is the TPS re-learn. Check your throttle linkage and springs.
The new car honeymoon ends around the 3rd payment. No one really gives a rip about other people vehicles. So you are the only one to worry about. A old car breaking down on a regular basis, in not fun either. Keep the Expedition. Rust is the only major thing that kills them.
The OEM paper filters are designed to last for 30K mi. To accomplish this, they are more restrictive. A K&N drop in will require more maintenance, but allow more air flow. A engine is just a massive air pump. Air in, exhaust out. The increase in power or MPG is very small. My 2011 Mustang has...
