    Launch Control

This 'video' has been debunked 6 months ago. The Expedition had thousand of dollars in intercooler and off road exhaust mods. There are running E85, which is not allowed, according to Ford. The Video caught the attention of Ford engineering. They claimed the Expedition, is already making 100%...

    Launch Control

This forum has gone completely nuts. Polluted with delusional, 4th gen whack job, road heroes. Racing lawn mowers now? With the large amount of engine problems, you guys should be taking it easy. It seems those engines can't go past 10K without taking a $hit. Have fun in the service dept...

    Launch Control

The Expedition can't... not without Who gives a $hit. You guys are nothing but wannabes. You drive 'full size' SUVs designed to 'save gas' and TOW, not race. They weigh 5000lb+. Why the hell do a couple clowns keep insisting, they are high performance?

    Launch Control

I never said that. I said 'I think' and nothing about 'smoking' the tires. The Expedition is not a high performance sports car. The so-called electric locker is for 4wd, not the drag strip. Ford equips the Mustang with special race features. The rental video is called a brake press/neutral drop...

    Launch Control

This guy in the video is an idiot, right? But lokiwolf claims every week, he drives his Expedition like this. The original OP, wants to 'launch' his? Then I get lectured? You guys need serious help. By the way, I know more about the '4th gen', then half the actual owners on this forum.

    Launch Control

Yes, sorry to say this, you both are idiots. You don't race a Expedition. Also an electric locker is not a posi.

    Launch Control

Only an idiot 'launches' an Expedition or compares it to racing a Mustang. Another pathetic argument.

    Launch Control

'easily smoke the tires?' I don't think so.

    Launch Control

That's not for high performance. It's for slippery roads and snow. Plenty of videos on youtube of mustang, line lock burn outs, launch control and traction control. You need to watch and learn about what real high performance is.

Installation of New AC Compressor & Components

Go back to the shop with the AC machine. Tell them you bought all the parts and have second thoughts about doing the job yourself. They may do the job for the labor and new refrigerant. A Expedition has rear AC and almost 4lbs of refrigerant. My compressor went. The shop was able to save 2.8lbs...

    Variable Cam Timing and sludge

I suspect the dealer wants no part of working on a vehicle, an owner neglects. Say, they band aid fix it, they know you will be back complaining, when it happens again. A 'new' engine option takes care of that. There is no way to flush an engine. The sludge and debris will go into the pan and...

Cold start rattle in the turbo

Live with it? You have warranty. You will lose power if the waste gate not sealing/working. I would would trade it in.

    Changed my oil today..............

I have a 3'x4', 1/4" piece of plywood, I use for frame drips. I park on it, during/after an oil change, for a few days. My filter sits above the front diff.

    Wrench light..no codes

The wrench light is a major powertrain fault. The Ford V10 work trucks I drove, usually were throttle body issues(@200K mi). It could also be a transmission issue. The throttle position sensor, helps tell the transmission when to shift. Have you notice your idle is off? It needs to be checked out.

    Launch Control

I think Ford uses an open rear diff on the Expy. Maybe a limited slip , definitely not a posi. It doesn't make enough power to spin the wheels off a start. It's designed to tow. Launch control is for Mustang, Hellcat or Trackhawk, bud.

    Strange tranny behavior (I think).

At those speeds, you may of engaged the rev limiter. Making a pass at 82mph, right? Your engine most likely was near the red line. The PCM pulled power as it shifted. The new transmissions try to rev match, for each gear. Have the dealer update the software for the powertrain. Tell them you had...

    Engine & Transmission Additives

If your that OCD about your vehicle, run synthetic oil. Brian Fordtechmakuloco says, make sure it's rated 'SN plus' on the bottle, for it's anti coking properties. Ford doesn't put a dipstick in the new trans. They don't want owners messing with them. I buy lucas fuel treatment by the gallon and...

    Fuel and emissions issue

The purge valve(mine is under the hood), will set service engine light and code. It usually is for a small leak. The valve gets stuck. I was told, one reason is because charcoal debris from the canister, due to people over filling the tank.

1999 Ford Expedition No Start No Crank - Electrical Issues

Try swapping the underhood PCM relay. for one of the other ones.

    Fuel and emissions issue

Pumping fuel after the pump clicks off, can fill the charcoal canister and vapor lines with fuel. Once the fuel level drops and vehicle is driven, the issue may not happen. Run the tank down and let is sit a while. That may be what the dealer is doing.

    RU Kidding Me?

Your service advisor sounds like a total A-hole. Tell 'her' , make sure it's changed and your not paying. Go talk to the dealership general manager or the Ford district rep. The oil change cost is under $15 for the dealer Service writers make commission on 'add on' services They can change...

1999 Ford Expedition No Start No Crank - Electrical Issues

Shift into neutral and try starting. Your problem reminded me of the scene in 'Christine'. Arnie sweet talks it into starting.

    2002 expedition rust. Need help!

fordtechmakuloco, has a video on youtube of undercoating. He used a black colored, oil based coating. Yours still looks pretty good.

Rebuild Top End or New Engine 183,000

I gave you honest advice for your issue and you responded that, the problem fixed itself. That is not likely and there are no chips, to adjust to airflow, in the injectors. You wasted my time asking for help and then give a nonsense follow up. Then I get a halfassed lecture, from someone that...
