    Removing front air dam?

Correct. The FX4 has a shorter air dam as stock. Those of us that have added skid plates to non-FX4 models have either removed the air dam completely, or trimmed it in some way based on personal preference.

    Removing front air dam?

I taped the back side with painters tape and marked the cutting line and used my Fein oscillating tool with a half circle fine toothed blade.

    Removing front air dam?

Trimmed it so the air dam is just even with the bottom of the front skid plate.

    Removing front air dam?

I initially removed mine completely, but then noticed how floppy the bottom of the front facia was. I ended up trimming the front air dam substantially instead to keep a bit more rigidity on the bottom of the front facia.

    Annoying Horn

Part of the issue is if the vehicle is idling and you jump out for a minute and shut the driver's door, it honks the horn twice as the OP stated. It's VERY annoying especially early in the morning/late at night when trying not to disturb others.

    Annoying Horn

Couldn't and wouldn't are two different things. If I can turn it off with Forscan, certainly the dealer can as well. They're just giving you a line.

    Running boards stopped working

I also disabled mine when driving in the sand so that they didn't try to deploy into the sand/ground if I was parked in a rut.

Are there supposed to be trim pieces under the bars on the roof?

Remember when Ford's tag line used to be "Quality is Job #1?" Seems that they are a bit sloppy these days. This is my first Ford, and fit/finish and panel alignment leaves a lot to be desired.

New Recall Affecting 2019 and 2020 MYs

You must have the 201A or 202A package with the 10 way power seats. The 200A package that is standard on XLT's only includes 6 way power seats and has manual recline.

    Noise when accelerating/breaking

Any chance it's as simple as rusty brake rotors or a sticking caliper? It wasn't clear from your post if the brakes were being used when the noise is present.

New Recall Affecting 2019 and 2020 MYs

While the standard XLT seats have various power functions, they still have a manual recline adjustment. XLT's with 201A, 202A and the Limited and Platinum models have the power recline adjustment.

Adding skid plates to 2018 Limited with tow package?

When I installed the middle skid plate that protects the steering rack, I installed it on the stock fiber piece since the stock fiber piece extends further and protects some wiring and inner front CV boots. It’s a loose enough fit that water can still drain from the metal skid to keep it from...

    CCM damage

Sounds like the closest dealer is telling you a story about towing affecting the dynamic cruise control and collision warning. The sensor is built into the front bumper on the passenger's side. Any chance an impact occurred in that area since you've owned the vehicle (parking lot, etc)? It may...

    Driver door rattle

Thanks for the rubber mallet tip. I loosened the bolts slightly and was able to move the striker with the rubber mallet before tightening down. The painters tape worked well to confirm that it stayed in the new position after tightening the bolts. It seems to have helped with my wind noise on...

whipple intake and JMS Boost max!

Coolant is actually orange but looks pink when inside the expansion tank. The earlier 2018’s have the orange coolant and they switched over to yellow for mid 2018 and beyond. See the attached post on this topic. https://www.expeditionforum.com/threads/coolant-leak.39953/#post-352406

New Recall Affecting 2019 and 2020 MYs

Sounds like it also only applies to front seats with a manual recline lever, so power operated recline isn't included. Sounds like XL and XLT models would be affected.

    Driver door rattle

How did you adjust the striker? The striker has conical seats on the holes that re-center the striker when you tighten the bolts, so even if you try to slide the striker after loosening the bolts, the conical seats on the striker pull it back to the original spot when you tighten down the bolts.

    Best Tire option

I have the Michelin LTX M/S 2's and have been pleased. I got rid of the Toyo tires that came on my Limited soon after I bought it due to tendency to flat spot, etc. The Michelins are smooth and quiet and have good tread depth and should last a long time.

    Driver door rattle

I also have a "tick tick" sound that is intermittent on rough pavement. The dealer ordered a new weatherstrip to see if that takes care of it. I think the door moves with respect to the body on rough roads.

About to make the jump(Yukon XL to Max)

I thought this would be the case too since I prefer the additional headroom over the sunroof. However, even without the sunroof, the headliner has substantial contours in the Expedition, perhaps to permit HVAC ducting in the ceiling, etc. My recollection was the the 3rd row area especially was...

    Argh, damage to new Expedition

Sorry to hear about the hail damage. They can do amazing things with paintless dent removal these days. I had hail damage repaired on my Mercedes S550 a couple years back and they did an excellent job.

    Drain plug thread size

I chose the Fumoto in my situation since I installed the Raptor steel transmission skid plate on my Expedtion. The skid plate has a small access port so you don't have to remove the entire skid plate when changing oil, and the Fumoto allows me to hook up the hose and get it situated in the...

    Drain plug thread size

12mm diameter with 1.75 mm thread pitch. I have the fumoto drain valve linked below. Others use the Stahlbus valves. https://www.fumotooildrainvalve.com/f107n.html

    Water dripping into the hood?

Mine looks about the same as yours (see photos). Any chance the drain hole near the gap in the weather strip is plugged up?
