Welcome to the site.
The only problem with being "a visual guy" is you really don't learn anything - you don't learn the theory on how the system(s) work. Once you know the basics you have the foundation to perform diagnostic troubleshooting verses tossing parts. You will also be able to tell...
Welcome to the site. The two codes are telling you the heaters in the O2 sensors are not working. That can be as simple as a blown fuse or problems with the electrical harness or bad sensors.
It will not correct itself.
Engine Performance Wiring Diagrams - sensors are on page 4.

This is splitting hairs but any housing that uses a bulb at a different focal point within the housing is illegal. Brought to you by our Federal Government Standards FMVSS-108.
In reality there will only be one officer somewhere in the entire USA that will check to make sure everything is...
The headlamp circuit is controlled with FET's instead of fuses now. These act as virtual fuses and are supposed to reset with every ignition cycle at least. I would check to see if you are getting voltage out of the BCM(body control module) for the respective circuits. If the BCM is shutting...
On your test drive cruise around 45-50 mph and watch the tach. The tc may kick in & out of lockup or hunt for gears at other speeds. If the tach bounces rpms (100-200) then there are issues.
Also test the 4x4 operation, there have been quite a few issues with those engaging and with the hubs.
No way the original tailpipe would be that clean with that many miles on the clock.
Keep in mind at the mileage it has:
The engine is worn
The transmission is worn
The cooling system is a known problem if not taken care of correctly - waterpump, heater core and radiator
U joints
Brakes
EGR...
High side pressure is low according to the chart in the sticky in the Heating / Cooling section. Make sure the condenser is clean and the cooling fan & fan clutch or electric fans are running correctly. Fan shroud should also be in place.
If you can recover and recharge the system that will make...
Guess we will have to wait and see if he returns with an update. Sad fact is if he doesn't do anything about it, the engine will.
I would expect a huge decrease in performance and a massive increase in crankcase ventilation.
Any mechanical machine "talks" to those that are willing to listen.
You can do that as long as the crank isn't damaged, the rod cap isn't bent and you check clearances before buttoning it up. You'll need a good torque wrench to torque the cap.
One other thing to check - it is a long shot though. Check the serp belt tensioner to make sure it isn't all the way to the end of its travel from a stretched belt. They make a racket when they are at the stop.
Not for the average Joe. Really depends on what has failed and if it has caused any other damage internally.
Easiest is engine replacement once the cause has been verified. We diehards on here would tear the engine apart and do a rebuild. Crate engines are the way to go if you are short on time...
Rod knock. Drop the oil pan and tap the rod caps with each piston at tdc with a rubber mallet. You'll find it.
Or you could use the "redneck stethoscope" which is a stick or broom handle cut to length. Place one end at your ear and the other at various points on the oil pan. When you get close...
Thanks for your service and help keeping us free. I apologize for the way the country is going though....many have given the ultimate price for the non-sense that is going on now.
This may help you find the problem.
Welcome to the site. I added your year & model to your sig line. That way members will know what they are dealing with if you have problems in the future.
Maybe you should visit the Electrical Section here on the site, specifically the stickies and learn a thing or two. You need to understand basic dc electrical before trying to troubleshoot electrical problems. Those who don't are just parts tossers - until they finally get the right one.
You can usually just rotate the locking cam to the closed position and use a large flat screwdriver to unlock once you are ready to close the door.
Fuses are just a weak link that fails before the component does. If the fuse is good it is a waste on money to replace it.
Once you have located...
