    The 5/6 trick doesn’t work on the 2017 with the Intelligent Access Key/Proximity Key...only works on those with a Key Fob/IKT...chuck s...confirm you have the key fob/IKT on your 17?

    I think you’re right...suspect the Expys with the Intelligent Access Key/Proximity key cannot use the keypad trick of pushing the 5/6 button to unlock the glass...only those with the IKT/key can unlatch the glass at the keypad.

    Almost ran it out of oil... what should I look/listen for

    Definitely change the oil and filter as soon as possible (and have the wife pay for it :)), then change the spark plugs as well. If you keep up on the maintenance from here on out, your Expy will probably last you another 50K miles easy.

    I don't know if it's for all Ford/Lincoln vehicles, but some Explorers and F-150s have the Secure Idle at BdyCM 726-42-01. I thought I had seen somewhere that's not the case for the F-250 folks. Do you have any suggestions of where to look next for Secure Idle in our Expys? Thanks.

    I like your optimism...hopefully you are correct on your first 2 suggestions. All other vehicle platforms that have verified Secure Idle showed the second digit is a 0 and you change it to a 1 to enable the feature.

    Are you sure you can’t remove the material from the back side of the connector? That’s your best chance to fully seat the pin.

    You should get the Ford/Lincoln incentives on top of the X-Plan (X-Plan price then subtract the incentives)...although beware, the dealer may try to tell you otherwise (and they keep the incentive money.)

    Secure Idle Update: I tried every line in the BdyCM and no luck. I looked at each line (mine goes up to 726-68-01) and if there was a 0 (zero) in the second digit, I changed it to a 1 and checked the secure idle feature. If the line showed x0xx...or x0...., I changed that second digit to a 1...

    After a time, the summer wheels with TPMS should go into 'sleep' mode if they are not moved...if you are still getting the squirly readings after a couple of weeks, then I would suspect you have another issue.

    Real oil change intervals

    Every 5,000 miles...makes it easy for me to track on the speedo and the oil holds up well.
