Lower spring seats -- I spent money so you don't have to

Just has to be motorcraft. I mentioned that part number specifically only because it's the cheapest option I found. If you already have motorcraft on your truck you'll be fine tearing that down and pulling parts from it.

Lower spring seats -- I spent money so you don't have to

It's the same parts you'll need to scrounge for all 4 corners. If you're still on stock fronts, you're good there. For the rears, pick up the cheapest Motorcraft shocks available for the vehicle since you'll be cutting the mounts off and disassembling anyway. The price went up slightly since...

    2010-2017 Seat Foam replacement

I haven't seen them in Durofoam. When I did the job I went with the factory foam as it was good enough for 170k-ish miles. Obviously it fit perfectly and worked with the heated/cooled seats. https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/ford-seat-cushion-pad-driver-s-side-lh-bl1z78632a23b

Bilstein 4600 front spring seats problem 2012 XL stock height

If you have the stock stuff then you shouldn't need them at all. Unless I'm mistaken the spring seats aren't welded onto any of the factory shocks.

    Absolute struggle

I replaced my oil pan on my 2010 some years ago and don't remember having any issues. Maybe remove the oil pickup, put it in the pan, slide the pan into place, and then position and tighten the oil pickup with the pan below it and tilted so you can get a hand and tool in there? Once that's...

Looking to find quality aftermarket mirror assembly for my 2007 Expedition limited. Any suggestions?

I second these mirrors. They made the truck infinitely easier to drive as I could see everything I needed to. https://www.1aauto.com/2003-10-ford-expedition-driver-and-passenger-side-2-piece-textured-black-towing-mirror-set-trail-ridge-tr00047/i/trmrp00047/1111806/2010

Rocker panel rot - leak source?

If you've got an EL you'll be buying 2 sets of these and doing some cutting and splicing, but considering the entire job is cut/splice/weld it's not that much more work: https://www.ebay.com/itm/175414007523 Shorties can get by with just 1 set.

Any DIY liftgate paint repair tips?

Not a spot repair but something that addressed the bubbling for good -- remove the handles/trim/badges from the rear panel, sand it smooth, and apply bedliner. No bubbling since. Depending on the color of your truck you can usually match it pretty closely, and Durabak offers a non-textured...

    hub actuators again

Yes, the IWE solenoid. It's by the firewall on the driver's side of the truck.

    hub actuators again

If the solenoid has a leak it could cause what you're experiencing. For troubleshooting you can take the solenoid completely out of the equation. Remove the vacuum lines running to it and connect them together. That will disconnect the hub actuators, so drive around like that and see if the...

Where to get a cargo floor panel

I don't think you're missing anything. That shelf is the forward cover, and the panel you have pushed forward is what covers the rear section. I just went out to my truck to confirm, with pics.

Bilstein 4600 front spring seats problem 2012 XL stock height

Order Motorcraft ASH24732 from rockauto for $35 each and scrounge what you need. Cut off the end with the mounting eye and bushing and the spring seat will slide right off along with the spring isolator.

    Upper strut mount lifespan

It would be a shame to replace new hardware while diagnosing a noise. Any of these options would allow you to keep the struts you just bought/installed last month: https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/ford,2012,expedition,5.4l+v8,3015249,suspension,shock+/+strut+mount,7600

    Bilstein 5100 question

You swap over spring seats, spring isolators, and coils from the stock shocks when installing 5100s so you're gonna need a set of stock shocks to disassemble. Junkyard will get you there. If you already have coils or plan on replacing them anyway, buy the cheapest Motorcraft shocks listed for...

2007 expedition is a train wreak

That's a pretty killer deal and gives you plenty of breathing room to fix stuff. I overhauled my 2010 a couple years back and it's a satisfying job. New control arms all around, all bushings, tie rods, end links, struts, bearings, etc., and yes I had to cut off the front lower control arms...

Apologies in advance but another paint question.

Can't speak to that deflector but I took the roll-on bedliner approach on the liftgate and it's been solid. Plan on doing the same on the hood when I can make time and have the motivation. I figure a strip a few inches wide along the leading edge should address the issue. My truck's white so...
