    5W-20 Ford recommended oil

    I'm here in Texas where I imagine it gets a bit hotter than Florida on average. Been using the factory recommended 5W20 in my 03 for 17 years with no problems. Doesn't use oil between annual changes at around 5k to 6k miles.

    I'm coming up on 92k on my 03, so it's decision time for me. I'm thinking about using an evacuator pump through the fill tube and doing it myself. Couldn't hurt anything, right?

    I believe the reservoir cap has now become the radiator cap. It is pressurized, so be careful. But you can refill your coolant by just pouring it into the reservoir bottle.     I put only between 3k and 5K annually on my '03, been doing annual oil changes since 2006 with no problems. Mobil 1 5w20.
