    Replacement COPs

I've driven about 10000 miles with the coils and yes they did come with boots! Ide also suggest ngk iridium plugs over anything else, very high quality! Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk

    Replacement COPs

Well only about 3 months and 10000 miles but they've been great, gotta watch out for materials used for the coils! Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk

    Replacement COPs

I got a set of 8 for my f150 on amazon, they're araparts coils, 8 for 80, they work great and I haven't had any problems with them at all. Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk

    4R70W trans. B&M shifter install/ console

Install a Ford f150 console shifter in it instead and fiberglass the console! http://www.f150online.com/forums/1997-2003-f-150/427049-patman-flow-through-console-shifter.html Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk

    2000 expedition factory stereo upgrade

Speakers that come stock in these era of trucks tend to be very muddy, I agree that it won't sound the best it can but it will be an improvement. And good tip for the mat and closed cell foam! I definitely need to to that this winter! Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk

    2000 expedition factory stereo upgrade

If your looking for Sq your best bet is a speaker upgrade and some strategic sound deadening In the doors. I like my stock unit in my f150 but it limits the eq settings to bass and treble. Expeditions are pretty much a free air vehicle so it's hard to get any kind of thump from the door...

    2000 expedition factory stereo upgrade

Crutchfield for sure, any radio with at least a 3 band equalizer, a nice pair of speakers up front and a sub system will bring the truck to life. Biggest gains to be had are down low, a nice 10 or 12 in a ported box will blow you away. Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk

    Making the pig skinny

Can't escape the weight gain, maybe it would be a good idea to regear your diffs to help accommodate the extra weight, also a bonus to have torque down low for off-road purposes Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk

    2003 expy tranny whine

Ide try removing the drive belt and starting it up to eliminate any engine accessories as potential noise makers. We had a truck come in making noise someone swore was a trans, turns out to be an alternator. Cover the bases first! Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk

Running 37's. What to look for?

Do you have a 5.4 or 4.6? Ide say 4.88s are what you would want, 4.56 is for 35s in my opinion. People run a lot of lift with cv axles and are OK but it will eventually be a weak point, I believe 37 is about the max you want to run on the ifs. The 8.8 I'm sure can handle it but others will chime...

Running 37's. What to look for?

You need gears. Like 4.56 or 4.88s to even have good acceleration. And if you swap gears you will also need a programmer to recal the speedometer. I just put 33s on my f150 and can tell a loss of fuel economy and power. I'm planning on going with 4.10s Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk

Long Term Fuel Trim - Rich

Ide start with some maintenance items like plugs and an air filter and a fuel filter. Check the vacuum hoses around rear of the intake. They commonly break and are easily replaceable with common rubber fuel hose. Also a suggestion on coils, you can get a new set of 8 for 80 off of amazon, a lot...

    1997 5.4 Eddie Bauer

Ide just replace all your coils with a set from amazon. My Araparts coils have been quality, ide also go with at least a double platinum plug preferably iridium. Ide give your break system a look over, check for leaks or low pads. I would definitely scan the abs module so see if there are any...

Big Read Died. Time for an "Upgrade"

If you can i would step up to a 99+ with the pi heads. The difference is very noticeable! Unless you prefer the 97-98 front end! Good luck on your search sorry to hear about the accident!! Sent from my SM-G920T using Tapatalk

    Trailing arm hardware issues

That job sucked, i used the same arms on mine. You may need a come a long to get the axle into position for the new arms. I ended up just running the bigger bolts in with an impact and the thread damage wasnt bad, but drilling out is a better option. I was dissapointed about the unforseen...

Shaking between 45 and 50mph after replacing coils

If you have a shake at a different rpm or while driving it may not show up when unplugging coils at idle. It sounds like one of the cop boots may not be properly seated. Dielectric or silicone paste the ends of all coils and try to reinstall making sure they seat well on the plugs. Also if you...

    2004 bad C.O.P. which Cylinder

Hell its a 2004, im all for correct diagnosis but at the same time you can get a nice set of 8 coils for around 80 bucks on amazon instead of 50 for 1 and have all new coils, something to consider!

    Shocks Shocks and more shocks

Bilstein are the pinochle of shocks but a good budget option would be monroe reflex monotubes. They have twin tube and monotube versions of the reflex shocks, but the monotubes are better and about 35 a peice on rock auto, dont forget its shocktober with monroe and rancho, buy 3 get one free!

Thinking about a 2012 limited (not EL)

Ide try and stay away from the tahoe/yukon, they come into my dealership all of the time for oil consumption problems. Its either fixed (bandaided) with a new oil pan deflector or fixed (for real) with new pistons. Not worth the worry. If your buying something under warranty then good, but I'de...

New trailer, I think I may need to upgrade

I think you definitely need a trans cooler or if you already have one, an upgraded one because as everyone knows, heat will kill a transmission! An upgraded pan would be good, I would suggest the use of royal purple max atf as I have seen countless applications where its use alone reduced...

    5w20 oil

What year is your truck and what motor does it have in it? If you have a 1997-2002 I would say synthetic or motorcraft syn blend 5w-30, if you have a 3v 5.4, you need to stick with some good 5w-20 like a quality synthetic or motorcraft syn blend! Oil is only as good as whats filtering it! Wix is...

    Want to paint Expo

Ide say a cheaper route may be to have the tan trim all painted white, that would look really clean!
