    70mph + vibration

I'm not a fan of these China bombs.. I have always purchased Michelin Quality Tires until this last set of four I bought for my wife's expedition. She only drives it to the beauty shop on friday, less than the little old lady from pasadena. Unfortunately I bought West Lakes. They vibrate at 60...

Dial Shifter - Let Me Vent!

As the current owner of my fourth Expedition I'm going to grant myself the privilege of commenting on the #%&$# buttons on my 2020 Lincoln. They Suck!

A year that DOESN'T have massive transmission issues?

We've had a 97, 2000, 2004 and 2013. The 2000 had the tranny replaced in warranty with nearly 36k miles.

    Another running board question....

My DW's '13 King Ranch with 55k, all bells and whistles, still perfect. So in an abundance of superstition, I'm going to quit reading these posts!

24 stealth edition too much juice?

I just had to comment that we have had four Expeditions over the years and all have been Flawless with one exception that was handled quickly under warranty. They were all four wheel drive and that was not unnecessary as we lived in the Rockies at nearly 9,000 ft altitude. Now, having no need...

Dial Shifter - Let Me Vent!

This dial shifter of what you speak, is it on your side of the vehicle? I have it 20/20 Lincoln with push buttons. The drive button is on the passenger side of the car. Unbelievably I have to reach to the right of Center to put it in to drive. I hate it. My wife's 2013 expedition, King Ranch...

Need opinions on 2014 and 2015

My wife has a 2013 King Ranch, 4wd, all options I believe. Less than 56,000 miles. Perfect. Front sensors, heated and cooled seats Front and rear, I believe. Rear wing windows open and close, auto running boards and moon roof. Last I checked Carmax was offering 16+. She is considering trading...

How do we know if Dealers use synthetic engine oil indeed?

What?!? You question the integrity of a car dealership?

To service the transmission, or not service the transmission? That is the question.

That makes perfect sense to me. Thanks and I appreciate the direct answer.

To service the transmission, or not service the transmission? That is the question.

I've owned four expeditions. A 97, a 2000, a 2004 and I bought my wife a 2013 King ranch, which has more features than my 2020 lincoln. My wife absolutely loves that car and I can't get her to consider trading it. So my question here is, since it is now 10 years old and only has 55,000 miles on...

What to look for when buying a gen3 expy

Here is a screenshot of JD Powers average price paid for a car such as my wife's which is a 2013 King Ranch 4-wheel drive with just over 55,000 miles in perfect condition. The price you are being asked to pay for that expedition is probably double what it is worth, maybe more than double.

    2013 Expedition Brake pads.

Our first 3 Expys got brakes serviced around 100k as Irecall. Lots of highway driving. This 4th one is completely DW's and got most of its miles when we lived in Colorado 25 miles from anything, including her hairdresser. And we took it on a couple long trips when she would tell a flatbed with...

    2013 Expedition Brake pads.

Butch, if you don't mind my asking, how many miles on your expedition? I had my wife's Expedition checked a couple months ago and brakes were fine all around. She has less than 56,000 on it.

    Recommended oil for 2014 5.4L 3V Triton

DW's 2013 has 55,700 miles on it. I've kept 5W-30 in it when we lived at 9,000 ft in the Rockies where she actually put on all of her miles as we were very rural with the nearest gas station 20 mi away and the nearest hairdresser over 25 miles away. I used the same oil when we went to Southern...

Looking for Low miles 2013 or 2014 Expedition in Florida

My wife has a '13 King Ranch with every option with 55,341 miles last week when I applied for annual registration. She drives it to the beauty shop on friday. When we bought the car new in 2013 that meant a 60 mile round trip. Today it means a 5 Mile round trip. I actually go out in the garage...

    Towing differences XLT and Platinum

Just a comment on holding 65 mh up to 8,000 from a guy who has owned 4 Expis while living at 9,000'. You've dropped a quarter of the engine's hp at the summit I would think that doing that once is not going to do much damage to your engine and transmission. But why bother? Those big trucks...

    Brake Question

DW's 2013 King Ranch with 55,000 miles has recently developed squealing rear brakes when backing up. I'm assuming it is time for a new pads. However, I would welcome opinions as to turning drums, what type of pads, et cetera?

    Transmission question

This is our fourth expedition and the first one if I'm not mistaken that requires the car be put on a lift to check the transmission fluid. Am I wrong about that?

    Transmission question

Thank you for that information. But before I read it I had a new battery installed and it's running perfectly. Apparently I didn't even have to reset anything. Interestingly two mechanics, and that's what they do for a living, work on cars, didn't see any possible connection. I know absolutely...

    Transmission question

DW's 2013 King Ranch 4WD has 53,524 miles on it. Perfect until battery died 2 weeks ago. I put a NOKO Genuis 2 on it last week. Started it up for the first time a few minutes ago. It was very weak and obviously needs a new battery. The other was an interstate from Costco activated in 2017. I...

    10 mpg

Mpg is back to normal. The car again free wheels when I take my foot off the accelerator. That was the problem, and I don't know what was causing it to acting as though it were and a lower gear when it was not or my foot was likely on the brake when it was not.

    10 mpg

Thanks, but tow haul was not engaged. Besides, my wife used to follow me pulling a 16-foot flatbed with an ATV and a side-by-side on it and she always got 12 and 1/2 to 13 and a half miles per gallon from Colorado to Arizona. And yeah, I checked the parking brake right away. As far as average, I...
