Well, turned out the line was plugged withe some gunk....took the lines out, blew high pressure air through it, back in and all is good. They recommended replacing the dryer on the pump.
Yes, I'm aware that she's getting older but I just replaced the rear struts in the bags with OEM units 3 months ago. I've found OEM parts on ebay and they are not terribly priced. Frankly, I really like the air-ride system and this is the first issue I've had with it.
Recently (last several months) my 07 would seem to have the pump going more than usual to maintain ride height. A week ago everything seemed fine till I got in after leaving a store and I got a "check air suspension" warning on the dash and over a few minutes noticed the rear begin to sag. At...
Update.
I moved injectors and coils around yesterday with still a miss in number 7.
Did an oil change today and it looked good. While doing that I happened to look down while pouring in the oil and noticed I did not see any belt....I looked further down in and see it heaped at the bottom. It...
OEM, Raybestos, AC Delco, Hawk, Centric ( last two are lesser known to me.)
Centric and AC Delco are cheapest. Hawk and OEM are most. Not much spread though...$52 at low, about $85 on high end.
Opinions?
Will be using EBC Green stuff pads. Previous rotors were Brake performance...
Ok, my ride has 238,6xx miles on her. Had started missing/hesitating at most all rpms (rough idle, but not in danger of stalling with constant little surges at cruise). Last week I had new plugs installed (Motorcraft), the shop also replaced two COPS on the right bank, front two cylinders.
Ran...
My 07 4x4 EB EL stickered for about $55k...
I have 238,107 on mine and only have some bubbling on the gate. Nothing anyplace else and I'm in the snow belt of Western NY. I't probably the protective layer of dirt, I haven't washed it in 2 years.
Igot the short style without the flange and no part of my caps even make contact with the lugs...? Did a quick ebay search to look at different styles and did not find one that looked like it would work. Going to check some of the OEMford parts sites for pics.
The puller didn't so much pull the bearing as it did push the half shaft towards the pumpkin. The bearing didn't move a bit and I didn't want to push on the half shaft any more. What surprised me is that the slide hammer didn't budge it...A freaking 1/4" of bearing ridge is holding it on as if...
I went from 20" XP alloys to these....
Ford F 150 18"x7 5" Platinum Wheel Rim 2009 14 | eBay
The local roads where incredibly beat up over the winter and the potholes cracked one of my wheels. I went to the 18s to give more wheel protection.
Problem is though, I ordered some shorter lugs...
I tried to replace both rear wheel bearings today and all the hardware came out ok, ABS sensor cable unplugged fine etc... But the bearing would not slide off. The half shaft splines were not stuck in the bearing and were not the issue. It was as if the bearing was corroded to the bracket...
Good luck! I used one of his kits on my Ford Crown Vic years ago and it was noticeably brighter. Will be getting one for my EP EL, ASAP...Read his site, it is full of very good info on lighting. He has a kit for the FOG lights as well, may want to get both and just be done with it...
I already gave you the link. Look on his site. He sells the kits and tells the PROPER way to check for total voltage drop. It will be more reliable, cheaper, and mean cheaper, easier to find bulbs than going HID.
No, for $59 US you can get the kit MINUS the actual 12ga wire. You then add your own wire and build the relay harness. This plugs into your existing OEM harness. Done right, there is no need for cutting/splicing.
Done right, the voltage reaching the bulbs can exceed even what you Euros...
My sway bar bushings on my 07 with 183k were freaking oval shaped when removed...Poly all around now just last week. Haven't been able to really test the difference because my new tires aren't on yet...but body role is definitely less noticeable on corners...
Skip HIDS and the high cost of the system (Done RIGHT), and the expensive bulbs....go to the below link and educate yourself....You will also find out why your previous Euro system seem to be of higher output...
Daniel Stern Lighting Consultancy and Supply
Everything is going poly, new struts all around, new ball joints all around, new wheel bearings, the works....Front springs will also be replaced when they finally come in.
