I look underneath and everything looks ok. Its got the factory towing package with 7 & 4 pin connectors, nothing looks to have been altered. It wasn't doing this before I switched to LEDs and swapped out the flasher. I'm wondering if I have a defective flasher... when I turn the blinker off...
Not sure this is in the right place, but I have a question about exterior LEDs. I replaced all the exterior lights on my 03' with LEDs. I also replaced the flasher with LED flasher and they all work great except I'm having a problem where if I turn on my flashers, the license plate bulbs will...
Well. I've had both. I had an 07' 3v with the standard gear ratio and 6-speed auto, and now I have an 03' 2v with 4 speed auto and 3.73 gears. It also has the towing package where the 07' didn't. I'm sure its the transmission and gears that make the difference, but between the two I've had...
I have the mirrors that tilt down in reverse on my 03' and I love it.... great feature that really helps when backing up. Too bad they discontinued it...
Your truck should be able to handle it just fine unless going through mountains as previously stated. A boat that size probably won't have trailer brakes, and if it does it will likely be hydraulic or surge brakes so a brake controller won't do you any good anyway.
I currently have an 03' with 73k miles on it... and just a little wear on the driver's seat. From 07' to 10' I had an 07' that I bought new and Ford ended up replacing the leather after a year on both front seats because they were wearing so bad. They were showing wear again when I traded it in...
I have this problem... but it only happens at idle when the truck is warmed up and in park. Reving up the motor even a little or putting it in gear and it goes away. I only hear it inside the truck...just faintly, in fact most people probably wouldn't notice it.
I think you are supposed to start thinking about replacing your tires after your tires are 5 years old regardless of mileage. The rubber starts to break down, crack and dry rot... and you don't want a tire failure (blowout) at highway speeds.
Here's mine:
Before...looks ok, but leather was wearing out at the top of the steering wheel
and after... Sand is the color I used. You can request free color samples from wheelskins.com. You can buy the covers there but you can get them significantly cheaper on ebay.
This is the one I bought:

I think the seller only had just the one... but it will give you an idea what to look for.
No I didn't pay $377 for the kit... re-read my post. With shipping I paid $123! As for being paintable... I doubt it, it has a glossy polyurethane finish to it. Though I suppose you COULD sand it and paint it, but it would be a lot of work.
Well I got a new keyfob as one was missing. Completed my first mod today... wood grain dash kit that turned out excellent. If that sort of thing interests you, you can see pictures of it here: http://expeditionforum.com/showthread.php?p=103299#post103299
I know not everyone is into wood dash's but for those of you who are, here are pics of a kit I just installed.
This is the kit I installed: http://www.wowtrim.com/store/p/479-Without-Navigation-2WD-Without-Advance-Track-29-Pcs-.html
Kinda pricey, but I found it new on ebay for $113 :D...
Pretty much all the maintenance has been done...so I don't need to do anything there other than think about a coolant flush and replacing the plugs. I need to replace a missing keyfob and probably end up replacing the typical bad motors for the rear heat/ac.
I don't have any huge plans for...
Hello everyone. Just got an 03' Eddie Bauer Expedition, 2WD, 5.4 Estate Green. I feel like I got a great deal.. bought it from the original owner who kept it in wonderful condition (I have all the maintenance receipts). Got her for $10,900 72.5k miles :D
I have previously owned an 04' Eddie...
I'd pass. I just bought my 03' Eddie Bauer 5.4 2WD from the original owner. He really kept up with the maintenance... I have all the maintenance receipts and the only things that are needed are the typical rear AC/heat motors and I need to think about changing the plugs and coolant before too...
