I found several that have the indentations and bought one. They were not advertised that way but calls and emails to the companies revealed that most had the indentations.
I have a new 2012 Expedition (Limited) and have ordered some Weathertech bats which will arrive tomorrow.
My wife and I will not need or use the third row seats so will put them in the down position.
Weathertech does not have a mat that will cover the cargo area completely with the third...
I had a Tom Tom that was a birthday gift from an uncle. It was their most expensive one ($500) at the time (2008) and it was troublesome from the first day. It was my first GPS.
I could not return it because he was proud of it (he never owned a GPS) but I got lucky and it failed in less...
Your suggestions made me think of another material to mind and that would be a piece of heavy transparent plastic such as a piece of an office desk floor mat.

Thanks for the idea. That would be an easy way to protect both cars. Yesterday, I hung a long rug (soft) out the window of the new Expedition and it will work but be a nuicance once I can drive again and have to do it every day. Your idea is great.
I used an oil detergent in an old Chevrolet once and it leaked everywhere afterwards. In an engine that is fairly new, I would try it though. The Chevy was really old.
I just bought a 2012 Expedition and want to put a dash mat on it. In looking at the online illustrations, I cannot tell if any of them form the indendtations in the top of the dash.
Does anyone here have a dash mat that is fully form fitted?
Thanks
Thanks for the reply. I forgot about those door edge guards because we have gone so long with only one car in the garage. Now, the new Expedition is so large that there is limited room from the vehicles.
I will find some this week.
Thanks again for the reminder. It should help.
I have to pak my car and new Expedition close enough together that door dings will be a constant problem.
Years ago, I heard of something that could hang on the door window and protect the door below it.
Does anyone here know of such a product?
Thanks
