    Hi everyone i was wondering if anyone else has come across this same problem occasionally on a cold start the oil pressure gauge would not move up to the normal position and the red oil and temp lights would come on out never did this until i did the first oil change and the weather got colder...

    Bought yesterday threw codes today!

    as far as the egr code i had the same code but to make a long story short check and clean the passages that lead from the egr valve tp the throttle body. this might save u some headaches

    Thanks for the help guys. I just looked at my bin and there used no "w" anywhere in the # just a few "6". So I'm guessing that's the 14mm?

    Hi again everyone. I'm about to do the front brakes on my 00 4.6L this weekend for the first time and when I was looking up parts I noticed the rotor come in a 12mm or 14mm. How can I tell witch ones are on my truck?

    I just fixed the egr code. In my case I replaced the egr sensor and cleaned the passages from the throttle body to the egr valve witch gets clogged with carbon build up

    tranny acting up

    My 00 4.6 L is feeling funny lately. On the up shifts if feels fine but on the downshifts coming to a stop it is banging hard but not all the time and lets say u are coasting at 5 or 10 MPH it also feels like some sort of banging. I can't seem to tell if it is coming from the tranny or the rear...

    I just bought a 00 4.6L xlt and can someone tell me if a double din deck will fit in the dash opening. I looks like it will but when I look it up in Crutchfield they say no. Thanks :idiot:

    I just bought a 00 4.6L and when I use the key less enter fob the doors don't always unlock and when I use the power lock /unlock on the inside of the door they don't unlock at all even though the slide lock moves slightly on the top of the door. I owned a 99 Taurus the made the same problem...

    downshifts hard

    I just bought a 00 with the 4.6 engine with 170,000 on it and when it downshifts it downshifts hard though every gear . I was wondering if getting the tranny serviced or adding an additive like Lucas oil would be a good thing. Everything sounds and runs good on the up shifts
