More than likely, could be a plug too but sounds just like how a misfiring coil pack does on these vehicles.- Smac

99% sure its a coil. I went through the same thing as you described. Very tough to diagnose which one. No check engine light or code thrown. Luckily I have a ford tech friend that can hook up a small laptop with a program that monitors it while driving and then it is easy to isolate which...- Smac

AC compressor removal
Picked up a new compressor from 1-800radiator for $149. Can't beat that. I'll post how the install goes when I do it. Probably do it this weekend.- Smac

AC compressor removal
I just got burned on this as well with a reman. 7 months old and freon has leaked out of the front of the compressor. Found this thread on a Google search because removal looks difficult. Can you work it out from the fender area or does it come out through the top by the upper radiator hose...- Smac
