That is awesome. We have another FMF on the forums. I've got number 352. I've don't some things to mine and now call it the Super Ex What number is yours?

lol. He is a big Superman fan as well. If he'd ever want to buy it off of me I'd consider it lol.
It's two fold really. Most can't see the hood shield while driving. Plus I didn't want any factory logo on the vehicle. I don't like factory emblems. If a person can't tell what it is by looking...
If you have a pipe bender and/or pipe and clamps. Sawzall factory off and put it on. However since you are asking this question I would suggest taking it somewhere. It may be in the 100 dollar range but that's better than the headaches of starting and not being able to finish.
The one video is a drive by and the other is a showcase more or less with an exhaust rev at the end.

The muffler is definitely aftermarket. The factory is huge and round shaped. I replaced mine with a magnapack. Sounds amazing and it's stainless steel. The factory exhaust is stainless on these things.
Seems you're happy with the sound, I'd say enjoy it and if rust does become an issue just...
Well its been a long time coming. I bought this in December 2012. And the entire time I was searching for an FMF I had this in my mind for plans to do. And now it is completed.
Christopher Reeve shield on grill
Dean Cain / Classic shield on hood
Brandon Routh shield on roof
Henry Cavil shield...

It's been a while since I've been on the forums. I just took some pics today and thought I'd post up. Some recent mods are the brakes and airade intake. I believe I had already posted about the Magnaflow magnapack muffler but if not I just did it again. I recently blacked out the uprights in the...
yes I removed it. once you get the rear interior panel off and pull (gently) the plastic guard it's I believe 4 bolts and one plug.
Oh and hint when taking off the rear interior panel pop the glass before starting and unscrew the two bolts there.
I'm with up above they make a urethane filler you might want to look into as well. I shaved the front plate cover on my vette. Molded it into the bumper.
Satin black if done properly is a clear coat that has a matting agent in it. Just base it in black then add the clear w/ matte agent. Doesn't mean only a light coat. Also when painting the chrome it has to be sanded very very well then add a couple coats of adhesion promoter. Then do the paint...
Thanks Sidman. I did think about putting a black shield in the same location only the same size as the factory fmf logos. I don't think I will though. I like it clean.
I had thought about lowering but I have the factory air suspension. Which is why it still feels great over the bumps. So...
