    EBCM

So I have the brake fade issue I’ve had on several 03&04s I’ve owned. I use them for a business because they are unbreakable, well almost. Truck has 300,000 and needs a new EBCM. Not the electrical part but the whole unit. Anybody know a good source for these? All discontinued thru Ford.

How many miles on your 2nd Gen Ford Expedition?

Replaced a couple alternators and AC compressors and that’s it. Never even put a water pump on either one.

How many miles on your 2nd Gen Ford Expedition?

I change oil after every trip. 5-7000 miles per trip. I do it myself. Motorcraft oil filters and Valvoline 5w30 full synthetic. Change fuel pumps every Christmas so that doesn’t happen on the road.

2012 - Safe to change plugs myself without breaking any plugs

Maybe you should look at your name and manuporshutup and do the latter. I've never broken a plug by doing it hot. I've probably done 2-300 of them and we always did them hot. You must be reading the Haynes manual manup. There was no need to be a smart ass. Just giving my 35 years of experience...

2012 - Safe to change plugs myself without breaking any plugs

I'm a retired Ford tech and my suggestion is get it as hot as you can then take them out. I've had the best luck that way. Don't try to take them out of a cold engine as that is an almost sure problem. Also make sure you use a 6pt socket. Also best to put the new ines in before it cools off...

Shudder/ jerking when cruise or acceleration after coasting

Shudder Shudder is generally a torque converter going out. If it recently started they make several products that are basically a friction modifier that will usually solve the problem for a while but the ultimate fix is replacement. I had to replace mine at about 150,000 but thats all IIve done...
