Stamp and Mapitts, I agree stopping is a concern the trailer will have brakes. I think will start with the programmer. In my younger days I had a Chevy S 10 with the 4.3 v6. The tuner, intake and exhaust made that thing move especially once I installed the tuner.
I found an article from stang tv where the programmer intake and exhaust produce 20 hp and 30lbs of torque at the wheels. I would think you would be able to feel that increase right?
Actually I am located on the coast so the hills are mainly limited to ramps and bridges. I am not trying to make the truck a racecar just a little extra power and try to keep the cost under a grand.
