I didnt pull my wire harness apart. I found where the wire was run into a connector but didnt have a wire coming out on the other side of the connector and just ran a separate wire all the way to the back
Does the new CCD front suspension Come as all one unit like a coilover with a spring and everything attached , or is it just a strut that you replace inside the original factory parts? I hope that question makes sense.
2018 max limited 4x4. After noticing drips on the garage, i discovered right front strut is leaking. While looking for a replacement I learned I have CCD on my vehicle. With the ridiculous cost of replacing, ive looked into aftermarket options. Found ORR makes an override module. ICON has a full...
I know this is an old thread...wondering if you got struts alone and had them installed on oem existing springs? Or did you find them with all new parts installed?
what kind of remote start is it? I've thought about installing one, but all the systems I've looked at are aftermarket and seem like they would be a pain to install to bypass the PATS system
Great information! I appreciate the explanation. Very informative. I like learning the reason behind an answer, so this was great. Thank you.
As much as I'd like the coil over spacers, im thinking a beater truck may be the way to go...just a fine line between beater and something i dont trust...
Thanks for all the input. I have the 3.73 i believe. If i get a beater truck, it doesnt have to seat 7. I wouldnt be taking everyone. The specific reason im going off road is i just got into hunting. I went with some guys that had trucks and was trying to think of how i would get out on my own...
Maybe these things have been addressed individually...not sure.
I'm reaching out to the expedation (expedition nation) to draw on your experience and knowledge.
Backstory: ive got a 2010 ford expedition el 4x4. Had a ford f150 until we had a 5th kid...no more truck :( makes me sad cause i get...
I was trying to remember what i did when i replaced mine, but i remember it was some kind of makeshift deal as well and i remember i was contorted in some weird position, but i did it...and saved a ton of money in the process
Ive seen their stuff before. Those are the guys i was referring to early in the thread that make stuff but a lot of it sits above what is alreadt there and takes up precious cargo area. They are also cost prohibitive. With all the suvs out there i am surprised there isnt an affordable product...
When i got my expedition we discovered it had a bug infestation (long story...lots of drama). Due all the stuff that went down, i l3arned a lot about all the space because i had to pull panels and all the seats out up to the driver and front passenger. If i didnt need all the seats, a lot could...
That picture is what i was referring to in the title of the thread. Im wondering if anyone know where i could find a spare one of those so i can work a mock-up before i just chop up the one currently in my vehicle.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a secret storage space for one? Crew cab trucks have those storage thigs and secure locking boxes you can mount under the back seat. The expedition doesnt have anything like that, so i dreamed up an idea to hollow out the storage tray in the back or if there was a...
Long and straight. Back end is triangle in shape, but more or less haped like a stick or bat with a pistol grip. Hard like aluminum and steel. Made of metal. Not really super fragile, but dont want it bouncing and banging around. Secure mounting/storage is ideal. I suppose hiding from all those...
It's true there are small places, which is good. Just need somewhere to hide things that may be 16"-20 something" in length...which is why i started all this with ideas on how to get a cheap storage tray with that lid that can become a divider or shelf so i could hollow out the tray and pad with...
Yeah, all in there is the space i was referring to. I wish there was a classy and non obvious way to make a hatch or some sort of door cutout to access those spaces from the rear of the car when the back door is open
I know all those things pop out, just not as convenient or user friendly as...
If that were the case id need to connect with a fiberglass guy or custom body shop. Do you know how much empty space there is behind the plastic in the back on each side?! If i had a way to cut out a hatch or door and make it look like it was meant to be there, id do that! I had to remove those...
