Not a welding expert, but welding galvanized metal can be an issue. Zinc fumes are toxic and you need to grind the coating to get a decent weld.
Though i like the idea of using galvanized sheet metal for rockers, but im not sure of unintended consequences.

1. the sheet metal on the slipon's is thinner than 16 gauge. a standard brake may work on thin shit metal, but not on 16 gauge
2. the slips dont extend on the bottom to the inner panel.. i would need to extend the full length underneath

Purchased drivers slip ons to try out.. The rear door panel only covers about 1/2 rocker. not a fan of slip on's.. Trying to find replacement rockers for 2011 EL. read the thread about using 2003-2006. has anyone tried using these rockers on 2010 or newer? any help is appreciated.

There is a vacuum canister on firewall to activate 4 wheel drive front lock hubs. You may have a slight vacuum line leak from one of the lines or the canister
Im looking for Passenger side running board motor. Cheapest Ive found from ford was over $1400 for the passenger side. I have no idea why there is such a difference between driver and passenger side.
