VCT solenoid replcement
Sorry to resurrect an older topic but did you have to replace the vct solenoid grommets? My 2009 needs this done and I'm a little nervous I won't be able to get the entire valve cover out completely to clean up the valve cover gaskets. Did you reuse the gaskets or replace them? Thanks for the info. I may actually attempt to do that myself... Maybe even get a two way pump if it's reasonable. Of all of the things I've done mechanically including swapping axles, driveshafts, motors, etc... I've never done an automatic trans fluid and filter service... LOL Now to...- Thick

I just had a safety inspection performed on a new (to me) 2009 Expedition EB 4x2. It drives fine now at just miles short of 130k miles... he told me to avoid doing any flush or transmission maintenance unless there were previous records of prior maintenance. He explained it will just loosen up...- Thick
