2007 expedition is a train wreak

That's a pretty killer deal and gives you plenty of breathing room to fix stuff. I overhauled my 2010 a couple years back and it's a satisfying job. New control arms all around, all bushings, tie rods, end links, struts, bearings, etc., and yes I had to cut off the front lower control arms...

Update on my Offroad Expedition on 35s

That's a really nice custom bumper. Who did the fab work?

Apologies in advance but another paint question.

I don't have any pictures handy of the finished product but I did find my old post: https://www.expeditionforum.com/threads/paint-bubbling-we-need-everyone-to-register-a-complaint-read-fords-response.16012/page-48#post-364590 The end result looks like white bedliner, which is fine by me...

Apologies in advance but another paint question.

Can't speak to that deflector but I took the roll-on bedliner approach on the liftgate and it's been solid. Plan on doing the same on the hood when I can make time and have the motivation. I figure a strip a few inches wide along the leading edge should address the issue. My truck's white so...

FRUSTRATING ISSUE WITH NEW SACHS STRUT & MOUNT

Likely you should have a metal washer on either side of the top mount plate.

    Wiper blade replacement for 2015-17

Does the Dorman 42651 replacement rear wiper arm that worked on my 2010 not work on the later models? I installed this so I can buy/install the cheap standard wipers on the rear: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0010DPB00/

Topping off Orange Antifreeze with Yellow Antifreeze

It's for gumming up the engine oil cooler on 6.0 diesels, and it's very good at its job. /that was an expensive engine to own

    Regear 2013 Expedition

Definitely worth test-fitting an axle from your truck into the new front differential before you go through the trouble of dropping the old and bolting up the new. Axles pop out easy; maneuvering that front housing in and out of position in the driveway is a bit of a challenge.

    Regear 2013 Expedition

My 2010 came with 3:73s but was a bit laggy with 35" tires. Regeared to 4:10s and it drives like stock. Cruises fine on the highway and has plenty of gear when in soft sand. If you're spending the money anyway just do it right.

    Rear Air suspension issue...

    PM'ed you :)

Can't figure out what shocks I have. 2017 el max

I don't mean to laugh but the timing is just amusing. Hope you, the truck, and any passengers are ok. Unlikely worth the cost and complexity of retrofitting Nivomats. I tow with my EL and opted for Bilstein 5100 shocks and some custom rear coils from https://coilsprings.com/ For me the...

is 2010 Transmission Reseal/Replacement neccesary? You judge.

As stated above, the quote is suspect. Bulkhead connector is a very common source of what look like pan gasket leaks, and your 2010 will have the old style installed from the factory. Cheap and easy fix.

    Winch mount

Brush guards tend to be for show and flimsy relative to the need of a winch mount. Winches must be mounted to the frame, so you're looking at either the hidden mount or a full steel front bumper. The hidden winch mount is the least expensive option and will keep the truck looking close to...

    Rear Air suspension issue...

Regarding bounciness, Bilstein shocks will help. 4600s for stock height, 5100s for height-adjustability. Note that you'll need to scavenge parts from the stock shocks, including spring seats, isolators, and the coils themselves. If the ride height is also an issue you can have custom springs...

    Cat back upgrade?

I have the Gibson stainless cat-back on my 2010 and it's decent. No noticeable power improvement, sounds a bit throatier than stock, and no droning in the cabin. It's a decent option. When I swapped out the stock stuff I wanted stainless and I wanted no noticeable change in cabin noise...

    2012 Front Struts

I still haven't swapped out the fronts. 2014+ 5100s in the rear with custom coils and somehow-not-yet-leaking Rancho quick lifts in the front.

    2012 Front Struts

Nope, but you'll need to cut the mount eye off the end so the perch will slide off.
  18. M

    2012 Front Struts

Go to RockAuto and buy part # ASH24732. It doesn't matter what the fitment is because you're only going to cut it up to grab the spring perch and isolator. $35 per shock.

    Help needed in suffolk ny

yeah you're likely in for a complete timing set. It's not a small job but once done properly your engine should be good for another couple hundred thousand miles.

    Help needed in suffolk ny

You're more likely to have a flatbed bring it to a shop than have someone come to you. Almost guaranteed to be less expensive as well. Most likely culprits are timing set and/or roller follower. How many miles on the truck and how's the oil change interval been during the life of the truck?

    Open or limited slip?

Same approach I took. Detroit Truetrac in the rear and Ox locker in the front gives me the best of both worlds.

2010 expedition el limited tow mirrors

I've been running these on my 2010 EL Limited since about a year after I bought it and they're great. Installed without issue and all the expected stuff worked (puddle lamps, power adjusting, memory settings, heaters, etc.)...

Control Arms for Lifted 2015 XLT

It's not the type of lift but the overall height increase that affects the angles. Less lift will help but the same amount of lift from a different design won't change anything unless that kit includes high-angle components like replacement control arms.

Control Arms for Lifted 2015 XLT

The only way to know is to determine where the noise is coming from, otherwise you're just troubleshooting with your wallet. You're welcomed to throw parts and money at your truck but ultimately you need to know what the root issue is.
