Water in rear passenger door
Yes, common problem that I have found on the expeditions that I have now and have owned (on my 5th one now). My 2010, 2014 and 2017 all get water in the back doors. What to look for when buying a gen3 expy
Not sure if you ever got the high running fan fixed but I had the same issue on my 2016 F150, turned out it was the low pressure side of the AC. Cylinder 8 Misfire - DTC P0308
I would start with just the boot and spring first on it instead of buying the whole coil pack. I had a similar issue with a couple previous triton engines of mine and just changed out all of the boot and springs and the issues were corrected. As others have said, I would get another shop to look at it and get the compression numbers. It may also be a good (and easy) thing to first go check to make sure that the electrical plug connection is good and tight on all of the coil packs. I don't have the part numbers but looking at Autozone website, the duralast brand stock number is CP044 for a package of 1 and the stock number for a package of 8 is 90044 With your 2007, the plug boots should be black. If by chance your 5.4 was built after 29 Sep 2007, you may have brown boots...- vintageman

Change the spark plugs and while you are at it, buy new boots and springs for the coil packs and change them as well.
