My '22 Expy with tow package cancels the warning light on the sideview mirrors when I'm towing. Yes, I understand that Ford views it as a safety issue, but is there a way to get around it? I'd really like to have that extra warning if I'd like to switch to the passing lane.
Thanks
I read a similar post but still would like more info before going to the dealer. Two weeks after my warranty ran out (with only 30,000 miles) I received an error message via email concerning the collision avoidance sensor. There's no damage to the vehicle.
The dealer wants $100 to run a scan to...
This is at least my 4th Expy so I am aware of the running board issues. All those vehicles had fairly minor running board issues, no big deal.
My '22, still under warranty, needs 2 new motors according to the dealer. Apparently the tech couldn't get the computer to communicate with the motors...
To me, the real question now is: why use full synthetic when Ford recommends the cheaper stuff. I've always used Mobil 1 and have been very happy with it...
I bought my '22 Expy a year old with 13k on the clock. The only serious issue I knew about was the cam phasers. I called the dealership and they reported there was no work done on the cam phasers on that vehicle. I've been very pleased with the vehicle so far.
I traded in my 2017 Expedition...
Sorry for the delay.
Thank you, Loki. I will try waiting several seconds to see if the brakes release. If they don't release, does that mean I've inadvertently activated the Hill start assist feature?
My '22 Stealth engages the brakes at start-up and I have to press the accelerator before taking off. It seems a little crazy to have to disengage the brakes again before starting off. If I'm on a slight downhill it will roll forward in neutral and then I can engage Drive without the brakes being...
Sorry to be a little off-content on this thread, but I found it very interesting that Mobile 1 full synthetic 5–30 is being mentioned as the oil to use. I would be so happy to learn that that is the way to go.
For the past several Expeditions I have been using Mobile 1 fully synthetic 20–50...
Confirming what has been said:
you absolutely need the HD towing for your weight
your max weight REQUIRES a weight distributing hitch
The boat I tow is near 8,000 lbs and it's fine.
I have a cheap 5,000 watt generator. Prior owner didn't start it up and gummed up the carburetor. I bought it, and put on a new carburetor. It cost only $13!
I start it up every four or five months and put Sta-Bil in it. I then shut off the petcock, and run it out of gas after about 15...
I'm on my 4th Expedition, all with power running boards and lived in Vermont the entire time. Once in a while they'd get stuck and I had to provide a little manual help to get them up.
Not really a problem.

My "dealer" is 200 miles away so I have not had much connection with them. I am clueless as to whether or not I have Sync 4a. I don't even know what Sync 4A is! I just looked at my window sticker and see nothing about Sync 4a. Could someone please enlighten me?
thanks
The other day when I got into the vehicle there was fairly loud "boom" noise. I looked around and could see nothing wrong. After driving a bit I turned up the radio to find out there was no sound at all. I tried pushing the "talk" button on the steering wheel and again there was no sound, but...
