Here is the photo I took from Android Auto during a phone call.
As you can see on Android auto you can control the phone from the steering wheel vs CarPlay where you get the see touchscreen message.

I wasn't talking about steering wheel audio controls. I was talking about using the phone option on the steering wheel.

Also if by adding nav prompts you meant adding nav to SYNC 3 that came without it your only option is to buy a nav APIM.
The hack to add nav to SYNC was only on SYNC 2 (my ford touch).

When you remote start the vehicle after it starts do the remote start procedure again and it'll extend the run time to twice as long.

On most if not all Ford's if you have 2 keys than you can program a 3rd yourself.
If its push button start than there is a backup slot (on my Flex its in the center console) where you put the key when the key battery is dead or when programming a My Key or to program any additional key.

Still doesn't mean that its not in the BCM firmware.
It could simply be that the digit that you have to change is either not a 0 to begin with or that its a 0 but not in the same 2nd digit of the line where it is.
Or could just also be that its not in the firmware to begin with.

On the flex I have rear manual controls while on the Lincoln MKT brother there is rear auto controls and the physical rear control in the 2nd row actually has the auto button so could be that the reason why its not working is because you don't have that physical rear auto button or could be...
The splash screen works for sync 2 but you’ll have to find and install the splash screen pack files in order for it to work.

On my 2015 flex the dealer hooked up IDS and secure idle was not listed.
Whatever the as built is it should be in the same location of the BCM in the 11-15 explorer, 13- Flex and expedition.

On my Flex the dimmer switch if I hold it up it turns on the interior lights and holding down turns them off but if the doors are open the only way to keep the lights off without pulling fuses or wires is to activate dark car using FORScan.

If the key is not present in the truck and someone drives away and then they shut off the truck they have a few seconds after turning off the ignition to turn it back on without the key.

So far I think the only option that you have for DRL in regards to the switchback is either use turns and it'll be amber but the rear tail lights will not come on with DRL or use parking lamp and that will use your white parking bulb as DRL.but the trade off is that the rear tail light will come...
Basically 726-12 is for the parking lights so if you have switchbacks it would shine white.
But in order to set parking lights as DRL you must 726-11 to headlight or fog light.
Also when you set parking light as DRL your tail lights will be on as well.
On my Flex the DRL is setup as Fog and...
That's what I did on my Flex.
Only thing to make sure is you use the APIM as built of a 4wd on a 4wd and a US truck from a US truck since the country code and drive type etc. is saved in the APIM.

If you buy a used APIM you could do the AsBuilt yourself if you know what as built to use. The only problem will be if you buy a NEW APIM.

On the flex/mkt and a few other ford/Lincoln vehicles there is no way to keep the lights from turning on with a door open so dark car is the alternative.
