Not sure if the author of this thread is aware of the complexity of what he is suggesting. I doubt it. Firstly 7.3 comes in both gas and diesel, the size of the block is unlikely to fit in the bay of a 5.4l block. Expedition front suspension
No, not the same. Sounds like you saw the coil suspension on a 4.6L and you want to put that into a tortion bar Eddie Bauer 5.4L. :) you probably could if you are an excellent fabricator, cause if you mess up any angles it won't steer right, nor is that coil set up rated for a heavier 5.4L...- Dimz

Running super COLD all the time
My 00 5.4 runs cold at low speeds. I pulled the restrictor in the line that goes from intake to heater core that helped a bit, changed the heater core and thermostat, a little warmer but still its just the design. 2000 EB 4X4 Gear ratio change
There was a device at one time that cost 150$ in the mid 2000s but its no longer available. It also required changing a small plastic gear on the odometer cable. I would not mess with it. What did you do to the expy today
Added some low power LEDs to the airdam on a separate switch, mostly for my camera, which is above the hidden winch, to see boulders as I wheel alone at night. Also, good as Day Running Lights.- Dimz

Final advice on gears and lockers
4.88 will be perfect for 37" and trailer. I think there are 5.12s available but that's almost too much for highway use, your engine may not like those rpms and overheat with all that cargo. 3" Body Lift Issues
I have the 2.5" lightweight spacers in the back and close to 3" lift in the front via re-indexed tortion keys. The Expedition rides great, even with 35"s.
