Curious to hear if it solves your flutter issue. I have fluttering, mostly at highway speed in 10th gear on smallish uphill grades. Dealer couldn’t replicate the issue so I’m considering replacing the BOV as a potential solution.
How does it work with the trade when you’re ordering a new Expedition? Do they tell you the trade value at time of ordering but that it’s subject to change upon delivery of the new vehicle?
I was thinking of disconnecting the BOV return pipe to see what happens. I might give that a try this weekend. I also forgot to mention that I have an S&B intake. Maybe that’s pulling in too much air and since I don’t have a tune it’s creating an over boost situation?
It only has 12,000 miles, although nearly half of those miles are from towing a 7,000 pound travel trailer.
The noise in the video is not what I’m hearing on mine. That noise sounds like it’s constant under boost (mine comes and goes) and mine is not as high pitched.
I need to look more closely at the turbo gauge to see if it’s fluttering. I hadn’t been paying attention to it much until recently, but I didn’t really notice the gauge bouncing back and forth when I happened to glance while the truck was making the sounds.
Thanks, I have the Moog rear end links. I wasn’t aware of a direct fit aftermarket end link for the front, especially not from Hellwig, which is why I was asking.
I’ve been hearing a strange noise that seems to be coming from the BOV. I came to that conclusion because I only hear it after coming off of boost. It almost sounds like a muffled squeaking sound. It has also happened in more of an oscillating pattern under slight load at a steady speed (60mph...
This, although the ProPride jacks do allow for infinitely adjustable weight distribution which I find to be superior to the fixed setup for most other WDH systems.
I recently upgraded to the ProPride. I tow a 35ft travel trailer with my ‘20 Max Platinum and the ProPride has been amazing. My...
Selling my JLT 3.0 catch can. Only had it on for a few hundred miles before switching to the dual can Mishimoto setup. No issues and all parts are included. Fits 2018-2021 Expeditions. Asking $110 shipped CONUS.
I contacted Hellwig about my bushing issue and they sent me a new pair. I’m hoping things work out better this time. I’ll report back after I install them this weekend.
So after a little more than 2,000 miles I pulled the catch cans to see how much fluid had been collected. Pics are attached below. I was surprised at how little had accumulated both in the larger PCV (passenger side) can and the smaller CCV (driver side) can. Still, I’m glad to have peace of...
I have a similar setup as @Squark (7500 lb, 35 ft travel trailer) and the ProPride was a necessity for me. I added Sumhos and front and rear sway bars. Those helped a bit, but I was constantly getting sucked in by semis and blown around by the wind. I just upgraded to the ProPride before our...
Installed the Mishimoto dual catch can before leaving for a trip through New England with our travel trailer in tow. We’re half way through the trip, so I’ll report back on how much oil I get out of the driver’s side in another week. I should be at about 1,200 miles with it installed by that point.
