2017 4 Expy wheel drive is whimpy!

4WD is fantastic on mine. Just got back from another ski trip with snow and ice with zero issues. The right tires will certainly make a huge difference in overall performance. The average all-season tire is not going to impress you much in snow that deep. If you are in the market for tires and...

My 2017 with CCD and a 3/2 lift - loving the way it transformed it. I kept the 22" wheels and went with Falken AT3W's in the stock size. This is primarily a travel vehicle for us - we leave the actual off-roading to the Bronco.

2014 Expedition EL Limited 4X4, 3/2 Ready Lift, SVT Raptor wheels, 315/70r17 BFG KO2s. Before/After

Looks really good! I love how these look with lifts and good tires - should be a factory package! Even the newer FX4 package isn't aggressive enough.

Right headlight out, no power to it (it's not the bulb)

You do not want to power both bulbs from the same plug. Check for power at the actual socket and check for a good ground. Ground should be good if either the high or low is working but always good to double check. You can also swap bulbs with the driver's side to verify the bulb itself is good.

    TPMS issue

If you can get to a tire shop they can read each sensor and it can tell you which one may be having a problem. As the battery gets low it can start having weird issues. The torque app definitely works as well - get a bluetooth OBD2 reader off Amazon or eBay.

How to remove factory front rotors

There is no reason to avoid using a penetrating oil. Once the rotor is off the hub has to be cleaned well anyway to ensure the new rotor sits flush. The new rotors have to be cleaned as well - have plenty of brake clean on hand. Gloves are what I always used - changed them after the old parts...

How to remove factory front rotors

Let me say I'm a mechanic - just sold my shop after 11 years to semi retire. So I have plenty of experience plus ASE certification to go with it. I've seen caliper brackets break and also weaken from things like this which leads to failures down the road. My time is worth quite a bit so was...

How to remove factory front rotors

Maybe it is a 'gimmy' - but the OP doesn't say he replaced the bracket and he didn't recommended it after using the method. If a sledge combined with penetrating oil doesn't work then no way is the bracket going to be strong enough to force the rotor off without causing damage.

How to remove factory front rotors

Big hammer is going to still be the best option. The caliper slide is not really strong enough for that type of pressure.

Oh I understand that.... but I usually off road in a 74 Bronco. This is more for the look and occasional bad weather going skiing or something. I have a set of 18" factory wheels but I like the look of the 22s. Was just wondering if anyone had used them at all - my tire options would probably...

Support adding auxiliary condenser fan to 2010 Limited

I just sold my shop but worked with A/C systems quite a bit prior to semi-retiring. It would take quite a bit of water to cool the condenser enough to make it worthwhile. There were times I would run a hose over the condenser for several minutes to cool things down. Wonder if you could...

I'm looking at doing the 3/2 spacer lift with the extended sensor links for CCD. What are you all doing for tires on the 22" wheels? I typically like more sidewall but do like the looks of these wheels. I'm thinking the Toyo A/T3's or the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W.

    OBD codes

When the OBD-2 system detects an issue it stores the code and triggers the light. Along with the code store is a snapshot of some of the parameters for when the issue occurred. Just because the light goes out does not mean the code resolved itself and it's gone - its still stored for future...
