I've done this install on my '22 Limited Max and taken it on a road trip of 2000+ miles (Florida and back). Works great - keeps things very cold. The auto power on/off works well - you really don't need to mess with it at all. I wouldn't do it for $399, but at $100 — great upgrade.
I have found in my case that this is a CarPlay "feature" — when your phone connects, it starts playing audio through the car's audio system. I find this incredibly annoying, and the only reliable way I have found to disable it is to create a iOS shortcut on my phone that stops audio, trigged by...
Phone cases - depending on how thick and whether they have a magnet that aligns with the MagSafe on your iPhone -- can definitely interfere with charging.
My guess is that your phone was connected to the wireless charger, but the case or maybe the alignment of the phone meant that the charging...
Yes I have this and it is excellent. Really solid. Good location. The only thing I would note is that before installing I put a piece of clear plastic packing tape over the 'leather' at the top of the dash, so that the top part of the mount (which fits very tightly and has a sharp edge to grab...
2022 Limited Max 504A w 12" screen. I got the update Thursday. Definitely like the full-screen Apple CarPlay option. Looks great on the screen.
I have my system set to auto-updates and connected to WiFi.
Yes I drive slower. I've done a bit of experimenting and it seems like there is a huge drop in MPG on these things above ~72-73mph. And of course the big drop in MPG when towing anything. The vehicle is clearly engineered for optimal MPG at 60-70 mph and light weight. Totally reasonable...
Just a few quick notes on my experience so far.
Took delivery of my '22 Limited Max 302A with HD Tow and eLSD in mid June (ordered November 12, 2021). Immediately (next day!) drove 850 miles from Philadelphia to Northern Michigan (towing a 13' Boston Whaler). Took the car to Wisconsin for a...
I have a 22 Limited Max 302A, HD Tow, eLSD. General Grabbers on the car. I have 6200 miles on them so far, the vast majority on long road trips. No complaints so far. Haven't encountered snow or ice yet, so that is TBD. And I'm sure there are better tires that can be had; I figure I'll just...
I suspect (but don't know for sure) that in the past it was incorporated in other packages, and that separating it out as a stand-alone option is either (a) a way of extracting more $$ from customers who want that feature, and/or (b) adding flexibility in difficult supply lines - they can still...
I have the 22" wheels and have been at the door jamb recommended 39 so far (just 2000 miles -- all long road tripping -- so far) and have been happy with the ride.
I should add that I have run mostly 87 so far and like it just fine. I'm always in eco mode, though.
Also, the rear compartment lid (under the floor in the way back) on mine would rattle pretty annoyingly until I figured out that the rattle was from the seam where the two lid panels meet...
Lots of discussion on the forum about octane. You won't hurt it using 87, for sure. You might enjoy the driving more and/or get better mileage with higher grades.
I have that exact car - '22 Limited Max (with HD tow, no CCD). I find the ride to be quite smooth, albeit not the same as a sedan. I bit more truck-like, but not harsh, at all.
Recommended tire pressures are 39 cold, so that will make a pretty big difference. Mine was delivered with 55psi...
Yes, I think so. The camera views includes a 360 "bird's eye" view, as well as dedicated front and rear.
What you don't get (at least in the 302A trim with HD tow) is the active park assist system. I don't really miss that, but some folks might. I find the cameras work well for tight parking...
Yes I have the same. '22 with HD Tow. The passenger side mirror is a bit larger. I never noticed until you posted and I went out and measured. I assume this is intentional.
I can confirm that on my 22 Limited Max w/ HD Tow, the same is the case: passenger side mirror is about 1" larger than than the driver's side. I assume this is intentional.
This is great for you, but also an example of the complete insanity of Ford to preference dealer orders over special orders. I assume this is either (a) intentional, and based on some arrangement they have with their dealers, or (b) intentional because the current pricing is several thousand...
Yes of course - Ford wants to shift the risk. But the question for the purchaser is whether they're hedging too much, and leaving significant $$ on the table. If they lowball the residual values, the savvy consumer will purchase instead of lease and come out far better in 3 years when they want...
The key is that the completely unexpected and unprecedented production shortfalls mean that the residual value that Ford is calculating is probably badly out of whack. My car should (fingers crossed) be delivered in a week or so -- it's moving from the local railyard to the dealer now -- and...
I usually think of leases differently. The lease agreement includes the residual value, which is the pre-agreed amount you can buy the car for at the end of the lease term. If the car is worth more than the residual value at the end of the term, you "win" because you can buy the car at the...
I usually use a different method. See https://www.buerklehonda.com/financing/how-car-lease-payments-are-calculated/
First, seems like given the numbers above, your capitalized cost should be 58k?
Is there a lease tax in your state?
FWIW, I calculate $530.50 as a base monthly payment @ 58k cap...
