Question, has anyone blacked out the chrome trim that runs underneath the windows all the way around on the stealth edition? I have a Max that’s been built waiting on shipment. I’m wondering if the 25’ roll off of Amazon will work, or if I need the 50’ roll.
I agree with everything you said. Although when my GM talked to the person who oversees all the plants in the US, they are not on chip hold. There are over 7000 expeditions waiting on wiper motors, that someone else posted are made right there in Kentucky. I think Ford is using the “chip hold”...
Just got my email from Ford saying mine was finally been “built”. Been stuck in “chip hold” waiting on a wiper motor since 3/24. I hope everyone else has got or gets theirs too.
I just drove one of those at work, it was very very nice inside. But it definitely has less room in the back behind the third row. If Kia made one bigger, closer to the Expedition Max, I would be gone.
I agree. I would assume, these will have somewhere around 100 miles on them, when I have seen people buying them with 3 or 4 miles on theirs. They also wouldn't have to worry about battery issues or flat spots on the tires. I am sure when they eventually get to them, Ford will do a "quality"...
Info I got is they are not even planning on touching all of those until the end of June at the earliest. Mine was put offsite just a few days after yours. They don’t want to shut down the line because then that would cut shifts from people. So those of us who are offsite are probably stuck until...
My info says it probably won't change until the end of June at the earliest. They don't want to shut down the line to complete the ones offsite. Complete BS, but Ford doesn't care.
Yes, I agree. I told the GM that transparency is key. I now know I won't be reaching out for probably a month to see an update. They are swearing they are going to make it up to me with the price of the new truck and my trade in. When ever it comes in, if that's not the case, I will walk. I was...
It will update every week with a new date. Just so you and others on chip hold are aware, my GM at the Dealership called in a favor to inquire about mine. Confirmed it is on a Wiper Motor hold (Not a chip hold) along with 7000 other expeditions. They have them spread throughout 8 different lots...
Right, and don't forget, those of use that ordered vehicles first, got a lower prices then the vehicles being produced now. All these people that are canceling their orders, is what Ford wants. Because then when they get on the lots eventually, the can charge the higher price for them. They are...
That's because they are still producing vehicles on the line, and producing those completely and shipping them out. They are just leaving the ones in the offsite lots so they can keep saying they are shortages. Why would you keep producing more, if you have ones sitting offsite for months at a...
Same here, I just called Marketing and my GM from my dealerships. Mine is still on chip hold, since 3/24, and Marketing tried to tell me the ETA for delivery was 4/29. Dealer said the same thing. Everyone agreed that is not going to happen, and no one can provide an update on when. Marketing...
I hope it doesn’t happen for you, it’s miserable sitting here for almost 5 weeks now having no answers, while I’ve seen them pump out dealer orders. They have produced a few customer orders too that last month. I’m only saying the wiper hold based on the guys comment who works the line at KTP...
Customer orders are a guarantee sale, dealer orders are not. So they have made the dealer orders priority. No other way to explain it. Especially when the dealer orders have the same things in them that ours do, that have been sitting in a lot for weeks at a time.
I ordered 11/5/21 and was told 8-18 weeks. We are WAYYYY past that, don't believe any estimate anyone gives you. The trucks the are producing now on the plant are not being produced whole either. They are just going to keep stacking trucks at this point.
You are correct. It was also posted over on Blue Oval that the vehicles coming off the line now are minus the windshield wiper motors, which is the same thing we were told when ours were moved offsite. Seems like the lots may getting more vehicles this week if they are building them incomplete...
That’s funny, because if you have the HD Tow, that removes the Active Park Assist. So, if that’s true, mine, as well as others, and probably sitting there for no reason. Just like other people said, eventually they will get to those vehicles and only then realize that some of them were indeed...
Oh trust me, I am not holding my breath. I would venture to say people who are going in to production next week with get fully built and shipped. Looks like we just drew the wrong card and got shipped off site. Makes no sense. All that money sitting there in a lot, which those could probably be...
