I have had absolutely no issues with my grabbers. 30k on mine and I have the 22’s. I would definitely prefer more sidewall but on the Highway they have been good.
100% can be triggered by vibration. I’m certain that’s looking for thieves rattling the doors or pry or sawing or whatever. I’ve seen them set off by trains and jets.
Also White lightning, LOL, love that!
Has anyone else tried the new version of the Ford Pass App? I had a button appear to beta test it about 2-3 days ago. Functionality seemed fine, although things are all moved around and reorganized.
But a huge whiff is that I cannot find anywhere to log your own maintenance any more. I...
I have a little bit of a different warranty question here. I’m going to be getting a 5 year / 75k warranty provided by Ford due to a customer service issue. But based on mileage I was already looking at buying myself a 6 year /100k plan. On Flood the difference between those two plans is a few...
I have the 15 inch screen and I love it. I’ve had very few issues in the 18 months of ownership. Little glitch here and there but that’s it. Overall I would get it again. I do understand people’s concerns and why they might prefer the other format.
My expy didn’t come with the park assist due to HD tow package (I think?) but honestly it’s the cameras and sensors on this thing that make it unnecessary IMO. I rarely have to try more than once with parallel parking because the visibility from the 360 and the lines that show the backing path...
I don’t know if this is a regular Expedition issue, but I feel like Ford has an issue with their blend door actuators. I had to replace three of them in my Taurus I had before the Expy.
Mine developed a rattle while driving in subzero as well today. I also thought it sounded like the sunroof. That’s interesting that you mentioned that.
I also think this vehicle handles extremely well in the snow. The slippery mode does a great job with the pedal control and I like being...
It’s up in the top when you unscrew your can. It’s a gold screen that the stuff is filtered through. When I got my can there was a QR code to a video that I can’t find right now. But here’s the bottom page of the instructions talking about it. I think the video said use carb cleaner or degreaser.
Question for you since you have a lot of experience with these. Realistically how often do you need to clean the screen on this catch can? I feel like the J&L recommendation was like every six months but it required it to be removed to do it. That’s a pain IMO. Appreciate the insight.
I feel like my truck has learned over the 18 months I’ve driven it. At first the lane keep used to fight me a lot and also give me the warning about hands on the wheel (when I was always fully engaged and driving). My hands used to get tired from having to push back on it. But now I find it to...
I haven’t had steering wheel, but I had to have the passenger seat cover replaced because it was just coming apart on the bottom corner. All these little things are not great on a one year old car in this price range.
I had two audio issues. I had the loud pop and then no audio. And I had the screeching noise that wouldn’t turn off. I made and appointment and they did the radio flash update but they said that only works about 50% of the time. If that doesn’t work they have to replace something with the...
So I cannot speak for Ford, but I’m in the trucking business and deal with large amounts of equipment. We have roughly 20,000 tractors with three OEM’s. And those warranty programs are predicated on idle percentages and fuel mileages in addition to total miles. All that to say at least in that...
Here’s what seemed to trigger it for me. I had on auto updates and wifi. But after reading on this forum I ALSO turned on scheduled updates to run every night at 2am. I don’t know if it was coincidence or what but mine downloaded over the air the next morning in my work parking lot. I had...
I just got the update this morning. Weird thing is I park connected to wifi every day, but it updated over the air in the parking lot at work this morning.
Vents are extremely easy to replace. They just twist and come out like an IKEA cam lock. They are less than $20 online. Dealer price was $50. I got mine covered by warranty.
