    Grille Guard on ‘22 Expy

I've had kamikaze deer bolt out of the treeline and ram into the side of my cars twice, so you really need a force field surrounding the car for true protection.

We got our new 2024 Ford Expedition Platinum!

Black Label Navigator can go over $120K depending on options. Aside from some nice wood on the dash and doors, I don't see anything you don't get with a Platinum Expedition (except a tiny screen vs. 15.5" on the Platinum). I love mine, and I've had 4 Navigators.

    CD player/USB interface..

I'd stay away from the ones with a hand crank on the side. :) I have hundreds of CDs, so I do miss having a CD player in the car.

    2025 Expedition details

i don't experience any bugs on the 15.5 display, and after the last update for temp/fan/seat control with the rotary knob, I don't find anything in the interface difficult to use. The digital display is one of my favorite features of the truck; can it be improved? Sure, like most things.

    2025 Expedition details

From fordauthority.com a few days ago: These details pertain to the interior of the 2025 Ford Expedition, specifically, which is slated to receive a pretty extensive revamp. This total cockpit redo will include the introduction of a coast-to-coast or pillar-to-pillar screen, along with an...

Order 24 Base model Limited or Go for XLT?

If you're interested in the assisted driving feature, test drive a Platinum. I'm currently driving a rental '22 Limited (my '22 Platinum is in body shop for scraped-up front bumper), and the lane-keeping assist tech on the Limited is not the same as the BluecCruise on the Platinum. While on the...

    No complaints

I've had this '22 Platinum since Nov '22, and .....so far.....it's been absolutely great. My first Expy after 4 Navigators, and aside from not quite the same grade of leather and wood trim, it's better than any of them, from handling/ride (w/CCD) to tech/features/amenities.

BlueCruise update for lane change assist

I don't think you'd find many people who would have argued with that 28 years ago, when assisted driving technology didn't exist..... And with the way people drive today, I think BlueCruise does a far better job than a good number of them.

BlueCruise update for lane change assist

This is in the preview for the '25 Lincoln Aviator, showing lane change assist. Any info yet on when this will be available for Ford/Expedition?

Dial Shifter - Let Me Vent!

Anton Yelchin. His jeep rolled into him and pinned him against a gate, and he died slowly, age 27. Very tragic. Wouldn't have happened with electronic shift, where it automatically goes into Park when you push the start/stop button to shut the engine off.

    BlueCruise has become unusable......again....

I think I may have figured it out. When I would get the 'watch the road' alert, I would look dead ahead with a fixed stare at the car in front of me, which had no effect on BluecCruise (except maybe it thought I had become catatonic); it would continue the alerts until it would cancel hands...

    BlueCruise has become unusable......again....

    BlueCruise has become unusable......again....

I haven't moved/changed the seat position at all since first getting the truck, and it was working pretty much flawlessly for the past year until a few weeks ago.

    BlueCruise has become unusable......again....

It mostly misbehaves at night (with no sunglasses), less in daytime.

    BlueCruise has become unusable......again....

I don't wear contacts or Rx glasses but always wear sunglasses during the day; it always seems to see thru the sunglasses with zero problems.

    BlueCruise has become unusable......again....

When I first got my 22 a year ago and started (trying to) use hands-free BueCruise on the freeway, it would quickly start to give the 'watch the road' warning, even if I was looking absolutely straight ahead. Once that started it would continue, even if I was staring directly at the license...
