5.4L Engine Misfire, Piston Rings, Troubleshooting Q&A
I have a 2007 Expedition 5.4L that has undergone some testing to confirm a misfire in cylinder #5. After a compression test result of “low”, we did a wet test and the compression increased, resulting in a possible piston ring replacement is needed.
