03 5.4 Hard start.

My 03 Expedition has 130,000 miles. It takes 2 or 3 tries to start lately and is worse when warm. I have replaced all spark plugs. One time last week it even lost power on interstate! Came right back but quite a scare. It almost died at stop light the other day and I shut it off and re-started. No issue since except the hard starts. No C.E. light. Did throw a code yesterday and Auto Zone said it was EGR Sensor. Haven't installed yet for 2 reasons. !. Can"t find it and 2. Light went out by itself. Any idea's? Could the EGR sensor be the hard start problem? I'm thinking fuel pump myself.

Have you ever changed the fuel filter? Should only be like 13 bucks to change.

also check battery...alt...and fuel pump...the 1st 2 are good on mine but fuel pump is going...creating the hard start-up
