I took the pan off my transmission to check for a broken overdrive servo c-clip failure; because when it tries to shif into overdrive, it just goes to neutral. After reading threads about the problem, I condluded that was my problem.
When I took the pan off, I found a plastic piece with an O-ring on it in the pan (pic). Does anyone know what it could be from?
After removing the valve body, I did find the broken c-clip (pic). Can I replace the c-clip without removing the servo? (Its the small clip, not the large servo retaining clip. Thanks for any help.
