'05 XLT Growl at start- problem?

My first post, love the site. I bought the car new and it has done this since new. It has a throaty growl at cold start, kinda cool sounding, sounds like a carbed motor with the throttle wide open at start. I want to know if this is a normal sound for the 3V 5.4l models, or if I need to see my warranty man... Also, any common issues with the '05's that I need to be aware of? Love the truck, I have had many Fords- '96Bronco, '87 F250 '95 Explorer (mom drives, 50k miles, garaged!) '98 Explorer, all happy vehicles. Took a break and had a '99 GMC Sub Denali- I actually gave it away, it made me that mad.. Back to stay with Ford. Cheeres- Casey

i dont know if the 5.4 3 valve has the some problem as the 4.0 with the timing chain tensioners but if it has done it since it was new and only does it when it is cold i would take it in and have it looked at
