I ran my vin number through the VIN Decoder site and this is one of the options under Interior

Remote Releases -Inc: Keyfob Rear Window

Can someone point me on how/where to do this?

This is all I know how to do as well, but with that being listed it makes me wonder if there is a sequence of button presses to make it happen.

This is the fob for my 07. As you can see there is a glass release button. I'd check your owners manual for my info on your particular year

On the remote start 2017 Limited, there isn't a button to pop the rear glass you have to push the button on the liftgate under the "N".

Still nice to have the fob, I have that button underneath on the back too but if I’m carrying something awkwardly it’s easier to hit the fob

Huh.... why they change it around so many times??? '09 SSV, fugly but functional, single button but controls both glass and liftgate....

Personally I'd be pissed, I hate using the liftgate stuff often tumbles out.... prefer to use glass only unless absolutely necessary

That's what happened with my 2003 Expedition. The original fob could unlatch the rear window but the Ford remote start fob can not do that. That became important when the liftgate window button on the liftgate stopped working. I had to put one of the original stock (not remote start) fobs in the glove box in case I ever need to do that. Its now the ONLY way I can unlatch that window.

I now have numerous workarounds on that vehicle due to problems.

To open (unlatch) the rear glass from the outside keypad in the drivers door

[x][x][x][x][x] 6

Your door code followed by the number 5/6 button. I have a 5 digit door code. Not sure if these are defaults. My code only unlocks the driver's door.

Code = drivers door. Followed by:
3/4 = oven all other doors
5/6 = unlatch rear window

7/8 + 9/10 locks everything. But the rear window is still unlatched unless you manually close it.
