2022 Questions / Issue

Hey guys this is my 1st post, just picked up my SPP in Blue metallic. I'll post some pictures later on today. Full disclosure I am a Ford dealership employee for the last 9yrs. My order took about 10 months to arrive.

I did have some questions have any of you guys noticed poor FM reception? My previous 18 Expy and my 20 Explorer never had such bad reception on the same FM stations I've listened to for decades.

Anyone have any issues with the wireless charger? It won't charge, it will sense it for about a tenth of a second then stop. This phone work for my 18 Expy and on my 20 Explorer with no issues ever case on or off.

Last question I can't open my rear lift gate unless I physically unlock the vehicle first. In the settings I do have the lift gate switch enabled.

The reception is something I haven't heard before, did you try reseting the system? Wireless charger was a little touch and go with us because our phone kept sliding in and out and got misaligned , try putting the ohone in the exact spot and hold it their for a longer duration of time to see if that works. Sometimes the keys signals gets blocked, so if you have the key in your pocket try turning so that the key is nearer to the vehicle, and hopefully that'll work. Congrats and welcome to the forum!

Did a bit of research at my dealership on a similar model the FM reception is about twice as strong as my unit and the wireless charging worked perfectly fine.

Nothing like dropping a new vehicle off at service after a couple days of owning it, atleast i work here lol

Beautiful vehicle. By the way, do you think the extra 40 (or 60) horsepower will cause the turbos/engine to be worn faster than the same engine with 400 or 380 HP?

If it is true to nature be a High Output as Ford States it should have upgraded internals, slightly larger turbos. The problem is it is always lip service until we actually see a teardown.

Update on the radio, they replaced the reception amplifier it resulted in a mild improvement so they are going to order a entire radio replacement.

Don't know about the FM reception issue, don't use it. I had same problem with my 2018 Expy Plat phone charger and it worked out that when I lightly pushed on the phone against the charger the charger would connect to the phone. I pressed around the charger base and heard a snap, all is well now with it. I still want my cd player in my 2021 Epxy Plat like what was in my 2018 back, some of us just can't let go.
