Hello everyone, New here to this community.
We have a 2024 Ford expedition max Limited edition. The vehicle has about 17,000 miles on it. The last few months the infotainment screen has been resetting itself (sometimes up to 10 times in a row) when this happens, we get a check 4 x 4, service vehicle soon, trailer brake system fault system fault all displayed on the dash. In addition whatever drive mode the vehicle is in will stop working and it switches to normal.
The vehicle has been to the dealership three separate times and they’ve had it for accumulative 55 days without being able to work out the issue. They have done a software update, replaced the entire speedometer cluster, and then did a recent software update that just came out on November 20 for error messages being displayed. I was told the next step that the Ford Techs were driving to is a gateway module replacement, but they won’t do it until they can duplicate the issue.
Unfortunately, this never happens to the vehicle when the dealership is driving, but yet somehow magically when I drive it, it happens to me all the time.
Has anyone else had this happened to them?
If you haven’t but have had other issues with your expedition what luck have you had with them buying the vehicle back? I submitted a buyback request for Ford, but they will not buy it back at this time as they say it does not meet the criteria.
It’s a real bummer because we love the vehicle and just want it fixed, but I don’t know what else to do at this point.
