4wheel low

most of the time when I switch from 2wh to All wh or from 2wh to 4wh low the indicator light doesn't light up,does any one have a solution

there is not a light for A4WD on these vehicles, only a light for 4hi and 4lo. is 4lo engaging when you switch to it? make sure you are in neutral and at a complete stop when changing to low range.
