I have a 2007 lincoln navigator. it has electric buttons for 4x2 4x4 auto and 4x4 . My problem is that it will go and say and function in 4x4 auto and 4x4 but when you press the button to go back to 4x2 it doesn't show the 4x2 symbol and it only releases the front wheels . It doesn't release the front driveshaft. I have replace the solenoid because it was cracked and was not working and a broken actuator while I was down there I replaced the transfer case motor. I had to put the blue wire on the new one and the black ground wire into the 12 slot right next to the blue one. Old motor did the same thing .All fuses are checked. I did put it on 4 jacks and for some reason when I first started the front driveshaft wasn't spinning but then as we went through 4x4 auto then 4x4 ( which all work ) It wouldn't switch back to 4x2. The driveshaft kept spinning. It hasn't said 4x2 since I had to replace the driver side axle. Backstory. Driving truck , Front drive side spring broke and slid down shock and destroyed the axle . So this is where it all started. Any help or similar issues. Please let me know. thanks in advance.
