Does anyone have experience with Detroit Axle components? I am replacing the starter on my 2008 Expy and noticed the front tire is quite worn and the suspension is original to the best of my knowledge.
The Detroit kit is 12 piece for the front end and is $50 cheaper than the 8 piece rock auto kit.
Is the Detroit Axle worth the hassle, or should I just pony up for the rock auto kit?
TIA

If I were here, you would know it !
I've been considering a DA kit for my front end as well, although I have no experience with their stuff, but they seem to get fairly good reviews on da Zon, which may or may not be all that accurate, so who knows...

And to what "hassle" are you referring ?

Shouldn't be any if you get it from da Zon, but I know some folks here don't like them for one reason or another....I personally have always had great service from them, so take that for what you will....

Hopefully someone here has used their stuff & can post some observations :)

By the hassle I meant possibly doing all the work but then having to do it again in a short period of time due to less than quality parts needing replacement.

Well, "this Friday" became yesterday 2 months later. Along with the new struts that have been in the garage waiting for a good time to install for the last 2 years, ordered the LCA's from Rock Auto and a Power Stop Z36 kit for the Expy as well. As soon as I get it all installed then its off to the tire shop for new front tires and an alignment so it will pass inspection.
