5 to 3 harsh downshift only after warmed up is fixed after dealer replacing the valve body

2024 max XLT with heavy duty tow pkg and 3.73 axle. Specially thank Ted Britt Ford@Chantilly, Virginia. They don't mind if it's a warranty work or not. They just get things done. It's hard for me to find such a professional dealership nowadays. Dealership tech has three findings:

1. The oring seal inside E cluch piston is torn;
2. Scoring in valve body bores;
3. A clutch valve sticking "THER MOST" (thermostat?);

Valve body is replaced and the symptom is gone.

Wow...nice to hear a Tech took the time to troubleshoot the issue and fix the problem. Glad it's working for ya now.

The value in this kind of service is what keeps customers, not a few dollar discount on an already inflated MSRP.

The real question is whether the new valve body has better pistons and separator plate, or will the problem come back in the future. Kinda surprised this is still happening on 2024 models. I thought they said they "fixed" all that after mid-2023ish.

Flying Wrenches's youtube video metioned the MSRP of Valve Body was increased sometime early this year. Hopefully it comes with some upgrades too like the new CDF drum and outer shell.
